Help Dumbest idea ever? or eureka?

I live in Canada and I can't be bothered to do the whole black market gun grab or train months or years to legally own a gun. Can I just book a session at firing range, ask for sufficient enough firing power and after a while, aim it at myself. Quick and easy for a simple transparent price (Compared to illegal stuff).

I didn't realize laws were so strict in Canada. I suppose it could be done, but it would be hugely traumatizing to the staff at the gun range and people there. Probably make the evening news as well. However, if you do proceed, I wouldn't do this the first time out, make a few appearances and once you are a regular, you will have a good idea if it's a good idea or not. (And also get well acquainted with a gun).

Possible. There are things to consider.

There will be people around to see you, so when you turn the gun on yourself, you'll have to do it quickly. As in, you'll hardly have any time to make sure your aim is right. You'll basically just have to point and shoot within a couple of seconds, and you'll need to be absolutely sure of yourself as well. Suddenly getting cold feet likely won't end well, as someone will have witnessed you point the gun at yourself already and likely be rushing to intervene.

Obviously there's also the factor of traumatizing people.

Basically, be absolutely certain this is what you want to do if you decide to do it. It's very much a "no going back" method. I don't mean any of this as instructions on how to successfully carry it out, but as caution for what to consider.

Here in the UK our Firearms Laws are even more restrictive, so all we'd have access to would be clay shooting ranges. If the Canadian ones are in any way similar you'd have an instructor or supervisor standing right on top of you for an indefinite number of visits until they were satisfied with you. The supervision is really strict here.

It's an idea that has crossed my mind before, after all it's the easier way to " obtain a gun " to do it.

However... I would not want the staff and people around me to be traumatized or have to deal with such a mess. (Tbh, that's why train is not an option for me either)

Plymouth was the youngish fella who was a builder (or similar) with 'I cant get a GF' issues. He somehow obtained a shotgun license, bought a pump action shotgun and one sad day decided to indiscriminatly wander the streets killing people.

As others have stated this action will traumatized alot of people. If you still wanna do it, your best bet imo is going a few times, ask them what their slow hours are and go then. The least you can do is minimize the trauma caused.

I have a 12 gauge shotgun and rifle in the USA and still haven't been able to defeat si and shoot myself yet

I've seen many people shoot themselves in shooting ranges in other countries in videos on watch people die website. They had to act fast. They somehow got to the mindset of being to shoot the selves without a second's hesitation
