it might be a really dumb question, but can anyone recommend razor blades? I either handle mine wrong or it is not sharp enough, I have feather razor blades.

As someone who uses razor blades for shaving, you could try shark blades, they're well regarded among wetshavers. Feathers are known to be quite sharp so maybe it's a handling issue.

I tend to break my feather blades in two and then attach a piece of gauze to it as a handle, to make it easier to use.
Or if I just wanna doodle, I use a scalpel with blades from the hobby store. They're slightly less sharp, so it's easier to control more precisely.

I will have surgical scalpel blades (#11) arrived soon. I will put them at some point on the handle from my suture practice kit, they probably will be sharper than hobby ones dunno.

Yeah, those are going to be hella sharp. Which isn't a bad thing, if that's what you like.
