I saw that. I would like it to be as easy as filing my bathtub with dry ice and then goodbye.

In the article I read , apparently 5 longshoremen died from a lot of dry ice in a small enclosed space .

It would asphixiate you, to be sure, but because it is carbon dioxide, it would also trigger the panic reflex. It would not be a peaceful way to go.

In the article, the 5 people apparently died in their sleep, which sounds similar to many stories about CO deaths.

Would the panic reflex be less likely to kick in if you took some xanax first? Would a tent hold it in?

look into carbon monoxide, it's easier & you don't have to worry about panicking
Thank you. I just looked it up quickly. I have no car (not allowed to drive) and would have to have a tent in my home right now. Nowhere to go camping (to try the coal). Is there another way?

you just need an enclosed space, tents have holes for airflow. this method may not be the best for you

Thanks.

With the dry ice I was going to use a large trashbag to keep my head and the dry ice fumes in. I did read there is a whopper of a headache before you die, but thought I wouldn't be able to move by that point. Didn't know my body would panic. Will go back to my original plan until I find one better.

there was a story here within the last year of 2 ladies dying in their car because the husband had left some styrofoam containers dry ice he used in his business. do be aware that it is extremely cold. I don't think it would work to have a trash bag over your head and the dry ice. your face would be freezing off. I looked into the method and it was my original method and I still may use it as a backup. I guesstimated you would need about a hundred pounds of dry ice. but do your own research because I don't know much about it . you may have to go to several stores to get that much at a time. unless there is an actual dry ice company locally to buy from. grocery stores and Walmart sells it here in the US.

In the research labs where I work they ban people from traveling in elevators if you're carrying dry ice due to suffocation fears.

Wow that's a lot. I'd decided to do the NiteNite method but this would have been a first choice if not for a few details that make it more difficult.

Thank you though.

Amt needed would vary by size of room\closet\van, etc I may not be remembering correctly, that's why everyone should research on their own. I'd hate to give out incorrect info.
