The fact that time in life is limited, is what gives it meaning. That's why I don't fear death, for it gives meaning to life. If we have eternity to accomplish, why do anything at all?

I heard something recently- people say you have 1 shot at life no every day is a new shot at life you only get 1 shot at death.
My 25 yr old son died in a car accident 3 years ago. I believe we will be reunited in my afterlife. I look forward to eternity. My life lost meaning when he died. I died with him and just exist until I am reunited- than I will get to spend all of eternity with my son.

I mean yeah. Death is pretty scary, more so when you know it's coming rather than you don't.
But it does give meaning to life, knowing your time is limited, so you may want to spend it well. We still don't have a full understanding of death, or time, or what happens to us afterwards, we can only assume. Who knows if there's something afterwards, if our consciousness DOES indeed carry on.

I've had some mediumship readings with my son since he died. I use a free reading group in faceobok. I post his picture and they tell me things. I can do it once a month. I'd say 8 of 10 reads have been VERY accurate. My facebook is set to private- so the readers cannot see my facebook. There is 1 reading in particular that really has stuck with me. My son HATED my smoking. She said " I want to say leave those cancer sticks alone" I got chills! my sons EXACT words for my cigarettes- cancer sticks... there was so much more in that read I was able to validate. I have it saved to my computer. I can share. Yes our consciousness does live on. I know my sons has.

I'm not afraid of the process of dying that honestly sounds exciting, but I am a weird person I absolutely love childbirth. I love the pain, the hormone dump, the unknown. I love that it's a big dramatic exciting experience. I look at death similarly. It's a very unique experience that you may only feel once, and every element of it is exciting and fascinating. I'm not even afraid of what comes after death because we will all face that one day it is part of life. what I am afraid of is what will happen to the people I leave behind.

This is based on a huge assumption. An assumption that I had made for the longest time until it was too late, much to my regret. So many choices that were made influenced by that very same assumption that I would not have made otherwise, or at least I would've calculated more thoroughly. We may not be so fortunate to live and then disappear forever. It sounds too good to be true to me now.
Death is a subject which never stops surprising me. Just WTF! Why existing in first place if we're meant to die and disappear (or live eternally).

to me, death itself is not the problem. but leaving those I care about behind. that's the hardest about dying, leaving them.

i agree with him. what i fear is the effect my death will cast upon my loved ones, even if they do not deserve this concern.

I don't really have anything anymore. I am living based on survival instinct and a few loose ends to tidy up but other than that I am done with it all. Not saying that on the day it will be easy but I have come to terms with my fate. Bless you all!

Ole Bony can damn well wait until I'm ready to go which will be when my dog has gone and been cremated! Then I'll willingly go with Bony to be with my wife and 2 dogs!!!
