Rope diameter = rope strength. You don't want it to break. If it was for full suspension it might not be strong enough; polyrope isn't very strong for its size.

It's polyrope, so it's slick: that means any noose will slide, but any other knots will be prone to slip as well.

Well my hope is that i pass out in those first few seconds before the pain gets to me i already have dealt with enough pain through my life as is but thank you for you help as well! i need as much information as possible

I'm thinking people with skinnier necks have a higher success rate. I got a thick neck with my arteries buried pretty deep. Prob part of the reason I failed.

You as well i saw your profile age can be a pain it can get in the way of finding a way to ctb i had to be careful just getting this rope and even having the courage to go through with it. Since you helped me out though if you ever need anything ask me and i'll try to help the best i can

i want to use N after Christmas

You can try it by pushing your weight with your feet. It doesn't actually have to carry your whole weight for partial but you can't be too careful amirite

I'm not gonna lie to you getting N is near to most impossible sometimes you have to save up a lot of money (a lot for someone who is at our age anyway) not to mention you have to make sure the authorities don't find it (chances are it's illegal where you live) it can be hard even for adults however if you think you can get it who am i to deny you having N is the best thing ever! i would have loved to get my hands on that

Even if the pains not an issue, I still suggest getting some padding for that rope. Mine was thin as well, and when I decided to try adding some padding, it helped far more than I had expected it to. Just fold up a towel or a sweater and line the inside of the noose. It should make it easier to pass out. Also, since it does look slippery as someone said, double check the knot on the anchor, and make sure it won't fall through. Good luck, man.

yea i guess i would have to rent out a po box and have it sent there, i haven't heard of a parcel being taken away in the uk before but it is illegal. if it fails i guess theres one more thing i want to try which should work :)

Best of luck to you either way i know if partial for me fails though i only have 2 more possible ways to die neither of which i'm fond of since they aren't the most peaceful way to go

Noiseless - I hope it all works out and you pass quickly. That looks like nylon rope which is a bit scratchy but I have always found it to be pretty strong.

Kirakishou - I'm from the UK and I want to use N! That's why I fly to South America in a week or so, it's supposed to be easy to get there ;) I'm posting to the partner thread in a minute or so and I am working to the same timeline as you if you want any advice.

That looks a bit thin, to me, but it'll probably do the job. And as has been suggested...

...Do a test to check for break strength. Tie about 4' of it into a loop and see if you can break it: With your knees bent stand on one side of the loop, hang onto the other side with your hands, and use the strength of your legs as you straighten up to try and break the rope. If it breaks, you need different rope --or you can use two strands of the rope you've got, twisted into a larger rope.

I'll agree with others that it looks thin enough to be painful. Perhaps more importantly, I worry whether it would cut or compress. I agree that carefully placed padding could be really worthwhile (have a look for the "night night" method that's being talked about a lot).

Pull on it really hard. If you want a good knot to use, look up "anchor hitch" on YouTube. It won't slip. Make sure you leave a lot of "tail" sticking out of the knot, so the end doesn't pull through and allow the knot to untie.
