So basically, all this time I was watching SN videos, I was actually watching N videos. This terrifies me, as I know N is more peaceful than SN..and the videos that I watched seemed like the most discomfort I could handle...

Does anyone have any sources for videos of someone taking SN? My SN is supposed to arrive today too..

Fuck, if I can't find any videos, I'm probably going to have to wait to plan my ctb until I get my hands on nitrogen

Really? The N videos showed discomfort? That worries me too. If SN is worse.

It doesn't look too bad, but I certainly wouldn't want to suffer anymore than this

Where is Peter Smedley suffering in that video? Is it the part where he's mumbling or the part where he's snoring?

In my opinion, right before he starts snoring, when he asks for water. I could very well be wrong though..

why the switch to nitrogen if u cant find a video, have you see videos of the nitrogen method taking place?

I don't see it.

With either SN or nitrogen you're going to be dealing with symptoms of hypoxia, though.

Ive seen videos (of N) and they look so peaceful and so so quick, at the end of day-yr killing yrself, so its never gonna be like being tickled with a feather or going for an icecream, im sure it is envitable that there will be those last few seconds/ moments of intense sadness and fear too-I would consider that a normal reaction to the circumstances-for me that is what I see from those vids-just that brief flicker of being scared, a last slight gasping breath, then peace.

If it's ONLY symptoms of hypoxia, I'm not scared..but I'm scared for other types of pain..

YT?

Nah, but I understand enough about the science behind it to be comfortable with it. Also, I have a choking fetish, so I'm no stranger to loving the feeling of hypoxia. I imagine N2 might be similar to laughing gas or a hypobaric chamber. On top of that, within 1-3 breaths, you're knocked out cold with the nitrogen method. I don't know...I'm just way more comfortable with N2 gas.

Also, YT probably stands for YouTube.

oh ok,surprised to hear you have a choking fetish as you seen dont like the idea of discomfort! Different kind though i guess. I thought the mechanism of sn was that is causes Hypoxia also-isnt that how it works?

I'm a sexual masochist /.\ I like certain types of pain, but other pain, such as abdominal pain, is no bueno. Basically, I dislike anything that feels actually alarming.

I know it should theoretically be the same mechanism, but I truly wonder if it feels the same. It's hard to imagine how hypoxia would feel like due to something ingested.

Idk if SN hypoxia is different from exit hood hypoxia tho. With a hood you are covered and not breathing air. With SN you are breathing normally but your blood cells are not carrying the O2 properly. Big difference imo. MRIs scare me and ive had asthma all my life. I dont want to fight to breathe in a closed space and SN seems like normal except breathing isnt doing what its supposed to.

Huh? You are breathing 100% normally with a nitrogen hood. Ever had laughing gas at the dentist? You're not fighting to breath at all with N2..that would terrify me; I would never use it as a method if that was the case haha. CO2 doesn't build up, so it doesn't feel like you're struggling to breathe.

Also, I think I need to find out if SN causes CO2 to build up, or its receptors to fire

aren't the people in the N videos all elderly and ill? i'd assume that with those factors it would feel more uncomfortable for them. a younger person would have a higher pain threshold. my thoughts anyway, nothing scientifically backed

Yeah but i mean there's A hood over your head which would mess me up. Glad to know you're not struggling.

My understanding is you will still be exhaling co2 as normal with SN?

Hypercapnia isn't just caused by the inability to breathe...it happens with inert gases as well, but you're knocked out before your body can detect it. I don't know enough about the science behind SN to know that that also happens with SN, but I'm wary.

It also takes more to kill us O.o ..I wonder if that makes up for the difference ..my statement isn't scientifically backed either though so kek

Remember, you only die once so dealing with some minor discomfort if it somehow happens should still be fine. It will only last for a certain amount of time. I still think SN and N are the most peaceful methods.

The N video you linked to and refer to is peaceful in my opinion.

I think you're referring to the part where he asks for water, I mean feeling a little dry mouthed is to be expected, in the videos where they haven't given the person more food / chocolate / water it's purely because they don't want them to choke on it as they start to fall asleep as the drugs can be rather fast acting.

My personal opinion is you're not going to get much more peaceful than that. He could have simply wanted water to take away the bitterness from the back of his throat or because his mouth went dry. Either way, I'd say it's a very slight 'discomfort' even that is an exaggeration and not a suitable word in my opinion.

I think if people want to end it they're going to have to get used to the idea that it's not going to be all rainbows and butterflies, even the most peaceful methods such as nitrogen gas, will have some people who don't like the euphoria feeling it brings as some people don't like feeling anything different than their everyday baseline.

On all accounts I'd say N is easily the most peaceful, you're highlighting one case where the person didn't express any pain and only asked for a drink of water.

There are other videos where people have simply fell asleep with zero sign they were thirsty or uncomfortable.

What is hypoxia exactly? Choking? Suffocation?
Really a quick web search does wonders.

How come the elixir that she prepares for him to drink is so little compared to what I have to drink? Mine is way more than that. 2 bottles of course from A. So whatever that is... So confusing
