Summer feels like a fever dream to me. It feels like everything is fake. The grass the trees. Like in a bad teenage-romance movie.
Adding to that summer sucks, because everyone is spending time with loved ones and I'm just sitting here like :).
It hurts, people deserve to be happy even in summer. But still everytime I see happy people I wanna punch them in the face. (I obviously don't do that)
Let's just say summer is the complete opposite of me.

I absolutely despise the heat and the sweat and the blinding sun in my eyes. The optimal weather is in fall and spring imo.
And yeah, when everyone is outside doing stuff while I do nothing it becomes quite apparent how I have nothing going on in life.

Summer feels like a fever dream to me. It feels like everything is fake. The grass the trees. Like in a bad teenage-romance movie.
I can kind of understand what you mean. It's worst around noon, but it lessens after that. The evening hours can be very nice.

I like winter the most. Used to be a big problem for me, summer that is. But I've changed my mind about it. It's good practice to observe the normies and to get used to the pain that comes with their happiness. Emotional pain is a joke, that's what I'm telling myself these days.

I used to like summer, now I think they are getting even hottier every year. I can't stand high temperature, can't leave home comfortably until late afternoon. Other people don't bother me, I think after couple years of social isolation I finally learned how to ignore them.

Personally I like the fall/winter the most. Doesn't really make a difference since it's rarely snowing these years.

Ah, summer.. The time where I feel like I'm dying and always have problem with my body :|
Each summer, feels like a VHS Tape for me. First I become way to underweight, at some point my nose starts bleeding (and no. it's not because I seeing something nsfw hehe ) and then if I want to go out in the evening, I'm mostly get bitten by some blood sucking creature : P

everyone is spending time with loved ones and I'm just sitting here like
And yes, this sucks too.
Everyone walking around, holding hands, doing all those cheesy things.
It's just hard to ignore and so far, my local Starbucks seems to be the only place for me, where I don't get exposed to this crap, can sit with my laptop and drink some ice cold coffe while also staying cold, thanks to their amazing Siemens smart A/C systems ^^

Where I live is something common. At least knowing someone that have one but I want one for my own. Fuck people, true happiness resides in having a swimming pool.

As long as I'm indoors with the AC turned on 24/7 or on a beach, I love summer lol.

Winter is awesome if you have someone for cuddling and hugging.

Thus, I think Spring is my fav season.

Yes. Mostly because I hate the heat. It is just an awful feeling to be too warm, it stops me from sleeping. I don't get how anyone can enjoy it. There is also lots of annoying lawnmower noises which hurt my ears. I always feel the most depressed in that season, there is more things to frustrate me.

Maybe I would not hate summer so much if I had an own swimming pool... Preferably a big one with deep deep water. Have always enjoyed swimming, the deeper the water is, the better.

I have mixed feelings. Sun gives me energy and vitamin D. The heat makes life a bit more tolerable, and if I am able to stomach it I go and meet with friends or involve myself. But yes as you said a lot of other stuff sucks about it.

No I like it because we receive more daylight and it's generally pleasant. I live in Northern Ireland and the temperature very rarely ever goes above 20 degrees Celsius (68 Fahrenheit) in summer. I am always depressed but I don't like the darkness which it is for 75% of the year.

Yes, I'm surprised so many people don't like summer. I always feel a bit better in spring/summer. Winter is very hard to endure. There's barely any daylight in winter where I live, there's nothing to do. At least in summer you can go out and swim and there's more stuff to do even when you don't have money. And sun rays give me some relief.

I like sitting out in my garden on a camping chair and reading a book and listening to music on my Bluetooth headset but l have to be mindful of the Dog as Stafford's don't do well in the heat after at most 20-minutes, obviously other staffies may be different? But l know My Best friend and always try to do what's right by him! And always have a bottle of Ice cold water l can spray onto him and a hand held battery fan to cool him down as well, But yes personally I really like the Summer Time!

I loathe the summer, I have skin issues and damage so absolutely no sun or heat for me. Although they are hard to avoid.
And yes, there is the other nauseating issue of everyone being outside my window laughing and radiating joy with their social gatherings. I feel like I am being taunted.
I can't even get any fresh air (which I really need because I can barely fucking breathe), plus my yard is like a fishbowl with neighbors able to see everything from every side (it's down an incline so it's not just neighbors on the sides but in the back in every direction.) So no privacy either, even if I were to risk it out there.
With the amount of cameras people have at the ready to shoot and then post on Facebook, I'm not taking any chances.
I have been made fun of enough for a hundred lifetimes, I don't have the tolerance for more.

I prefer rainy or snowy days where everyone is inside and they can't come out to flaunt how contrasting their lives are to mine, this includes my own relatives who are happy to congregate amongst each-other, not missing my absence or caring about my suffering.
The unfairness enrages me.
They fill their bellies while I am forced to get wind of it from afar, there is no vicarious happiness, just a metaphorical water bottle being dangled over my parched existence, chained to misery.

Then there is the issue of clothing, I need to cover myself up and that's hard to do in the summer, without drawing even more negative attention, but if I wear appropriate clothing for the weather, I may be subjecting myself to even more bullying if I leave the house, as my physical detriments unfortunately don't end above the neck.

In a perfect world, or a more agreeable one, I would probably like the summer on its own, outside of the human charades, but that's not how things are.

Wow I'm surprised Starbucks is your safe place, I avoid it like the plague even if I desperately want a drink from there.
Where I am from, that place attracts snobs, catty individuals, and lots of couples and friend groups who stick their nose up at others.
Unbearable heat, humidity, and bugs. Overrated garbage season.
The STINK BUGS are straight from HELL.
The past few years they come out in droves like horror-helicopters and their legs dangling from their bodies above you, the first sign of warmer weather and they make their way out of hiding.
They have ruined many a night's sleep for me, and I'm an insomniac so I can't afford their bullshit.

I absolutely hate summer. I much prefer spring, fall and winter. I can't tolerate heat, humidity or bright sunlight. Also, I live in the city, so there are people everywhere when the weather gets warmer... ugh. It's the worst. I feel so self-conscious and out of place when I see those people socializing, having a great time, all confident in their own bodies... while I'm the exact opposite (I'm an awkward, introverted, ugly recluse).

This is very relatable.
I also have skin issues and I don't know how to dress in summer... but I never leave the house anyway, so it doesn't really matter I guess. (I don't go in my backyard either because of all the neighbors) I have acne-rosacea, stretch marks and some scars. My skin is also very pale and sensitive/reactive. What kind of skin problems do you have? (if you don't mind me asking)

I absolutely hate, loathe, despise, abhor and detest summer. Never ending long hot humid days. Constantly feeling uncomfortable and sweaty. Wasps and hornets everywhere.
I can't wait until it's over and I feel the nice cool breezes of autumn and then even better the cold and darkness of winter.

And you don't prefer to stay home?
Well, during summer days, my neighbors are really noisy and I don't know how my new desktop PC will behave but my old one was overheating.
Also I don't know why but my local starbucks has 5Gbps fiber internet for some reason. This gives me another reason to chill there since my new router that I got from my ISP, is crashing whenever I put some heavy load like downloading Xbox One games or torrenting something : P

Hate the summer, theres nothing to like, the bugs being out, seeing people everywhere laughing and having a great time, I sunburn very easy, and its hard to go out at night these days with people out alot later than in the winter and having them honk their horns at me, or get close to the side of the road where im walking and speeding up. I can't wait for fall and winter again. At least the days are shorter, people don't go out in the cold as much, and people won't risk speeding like they do in the summer during the winter since the roads in the country don't get plowed. Ngl id love to see a guy taunt me with his car speeding up, then sliding on the ice into a telephone pole.

I must be the weird one here, I guess. where I live it is below freezing for 7 months out of the year. We have 50 plus below zero, Fahrenheit wind chills for up to 3 months a year, where exposed skin can freeze in under 4 minutes. So I LOVE summer, we have temps in the upper 70's low 80's and one can be outside without multiple layers on. One time I was cross country skiing and I had to throw warm water on my clothes when I got back, because the zippers had frozen solid with ice from my breath. Just this week on Monday we where 87 degrees Fahrenheit and on Thursday night we were 39 degrees. Yep that much of a swing in temps, so YES please bring on some warm weather. Walter

I actually like summer, but it would be my least favourite season were it not for air conditioning. It blows my mind that there were peoples in this world that had to endure 40c, and even 50c, weather without air conditioning. They would have to have worked in it too. There are still parts of the world where this is the case.

Hi! I totally agree with you. In December, where I live, we have around 8 hours of day light BUT the sun is at such a low level in the sky, heck might as well not even have day light. Now in late May and June, July not only day light but sun shine where one can actually feel the warmth of the sun. I have SDS (seasonal disorder syndrome) and just like you, the sun rays give me relief. In the winter I have a large light bar that I plug in and use for light therapy. Walter
