Doctors keep blaming all medical complaints on anxiety . When they don't know what's going on with your body , they just say it's "anxiety" which is causing it. After symptoms start getting worse days later only then they start taking it more seriously , all that time, effort, money, mental peace wasted . Even more importantly something could have been done in the meantime. They never admit their mistakes or more likely pretend they never said "anxiety" in the first place . Anybody have the same experience or do you have a doctor who doesn't do that ?

A doctor being dismissive is as predictable as the sun rising and setting.
So, yes.

Nope same experience as you.

GERD - gastroesophageal reflux was just "stress" apparently, until someone actually bothered to check. +I need someone to take my lack of weight loss seriously, among other things.

It would be refreshing for a doctor to just say they don't know, and maybe even make some effort to figure it out, rather than lazily following the same flow chart every time to get insurance money and get to the next patient.

It's the wildcard word of most doctors,... I correct, in my case, when they don't know the answer they say "It's psychological" and get over it as you can.

És la paraula comodí de la majoría dels metges,... corregeixo, en el meu cas, quan no saben la resposta diuen "És psicològic" i apanya't com puguis.

Menhera (メンヘラ) is a Japanese slang term refering to people that are suffering from mental illness or are in need of mental health care. It is derived from the words "mental", "health", and the suffix "er", meaning "mental healther". Originally, it was born in 2channel's mental health board as a nickname for its users. Due to the negative stigma associated with mental health and illness, it is sometimes abused in a discriminating manner. However, in the recent years, it has evolved into a mental health awareness subculture that tries to change the view on mental health in Japan.
"My sister is beautiful, cheerful, bright, and homely", but she is actually a Menhera girl.

Anxiety pretty much equals, we don't know what the fuck is going on, in doctor speak.

I was told my digestive issues were stress, anxiety, and "boyfriend problems". Doctors kept telling me to take stool softeners and eventually enemas which were so painful and humiliating, I cried when my boyfriend was helping me with it.

Turns out my anxiety was a large tumor the size of a grapefruit that's crushed my colon and bladder. If I'd just been allowed to order my own tests, this would've never gotten to this point. But people think doctors know everything and do no wrong.

WTF That's Disgraceful. What made him finally realize it must be something else ? Did you order your own tests ?

It was after months of my bloating getting worse, taking every single laxative that they could perscribe, enemas, you name it I took it, but no matter what I'd just be constipated again in a week anyway. They wanted me to do an endoscopy, but you're under light sedation here instead of GA and I couldn't bear to do it, not just because of my PTSD but because I have TMJ and difficulty swallowing pills and things like that.

Finally, I got a really really bad pain in my side and had my partner beg them to refer me for an MRI or CT scan, as this pain had me doubled over and bedridden for several days. The MRI showed that I had a tumor and several complex ovarian cysts, which no one would have ever suspected that because I've never experienced any abnormal periods or bleeding. I knew for months that I needed some kind of MRI or gastric emptying scan because I was so constipated, but the doctors just wouldn't listen.

I had surgery yesterday and the tumor had leaked so much fluid into me that my colon and other organs were eat up with inflammation and scar tissue where the tumor attatched itself. I was on the verge of dying from sepsis if this had continued. The surgery was very traumatic and hard on me. Have to go in a couple of weeks to see if the biopsy showed cancer. I doubt I will ever have normal GI functioning again. But hey, at least they saved their own money and time to castigate and label me as mentally ill when all of this started.

I've had the same problems as you too (suffered from GERD, but people agreed it was due to my diet causing it, struggling with maintaining my weight). In the end I had to resort to lying and over-exaggerating my symptoms before my GP would start taking me seriously.

Fortunately I'm getting an endoscopy next Tuesday, hope that helps solve some problems for me one way or another.

If the covid/vaccination fiasco in the past few years taught you nothing about modern medicine, pharma, psychology and politics you're beyond helping at this point... but I'll try, regardless.

"Experts" are usually just lazy, greedy liars. When it comes to your health, your sanity, or your money... you must do your own due diligence. Tough task, I know. Be thankful you live in the "information age" and have so much information at your fingertips. My grandfather had to buy medical books, subscribe to journals, and take trips to various universities and other archives to figure out who was full of shit and who wasn't. It made for some great road-trips for me when I was a kid, but it was enormously expensive for him. I learned a lot from that man.

Now, go find some whitepapers and do some reading. Good luck, OP! ;)

I agree 100% on due diligence . I directly ask my doctor what I have read from google . Can't trust them with my health anymore.
Sounds like your grandfather had identified the incompetence of some doctors and the games that some of them will play with their patients. He sounds like a wise man .

The covid vax has been thoroughly tested to the best of my knowledge though. Pfizer and moderna had released results of their trials during the first variant and other agencies have also confirmed 95% efficacy of the vaccines against the first variant.

I really don't know what to tell you
Anxiety is a major part of most psychological conditions so it makes sense that doctors would say that.
They study for more than 7 years! Their studies will do them some good

I am no doctor but many get it wrong plenty of times especially during the first visit.
