How could the election of the first felon or the first woman to the office of the head of the largest empire the world has ever known not make world history

I think it really depends on how the Senate/ house races go as well.
Hopefully, not one party will all 3. Cause then they can basically pass whatever they want.
Like, if trump wins, but Dems hold the Senate, nothing drastic is going to get passed, and vice versa

I'm not sure if it will make a difference.

If Harris wins, the genocide in Palestine will continue, and US will continue to send more money and weapons to Israel and Ukraine, until the economy collapses.

If Trump wins, then I've got no clue what will happen. He's clearly against US shoving money into Zelensky's ass, as he called him "the greatest salesman on earth'", but he also seems to be Pro Israel like Harris. Maybe he will try to force Zelensky into making a deal with Putin, but I don't think he will stop the ongoing genocide that Israel and USA are committing.

No matter who wins, America is fucked either way, and Europe even more so.

If Kamala wins, America is saved from Christo-Fascism and if Trump wins, we'll all be living in the Handmaid's Tale.

trumps first win already emboldened and empowered the far right across the world, a second win would be even worse. kamala obviously isn't a leftist who will give everyone healthcare and embargo israel or whatnot, but "first female president of the us" would have a symbolic effect at minimum. im not sure if her win will even be seen as like a decisive rejection of fascism and white christian nationalism, since a lot of her proposed policies still legitimize the dumb rightoid narratives you see on fox news or whatever

I don't think either of them will make any dramatically different moves on the geopolitical stage. Massive difference for those in the US, but the power distribution around the world is way more split across many mid-to-large powers than ever before. American's still a super power but it's no longer in that same "center of the world" position (as has happened with previous "megapowers" in history). Also, for either of them it'd be difficult to do things very differently for Ukraine, Israel, or China - it's all a tangled mess.

Things are about to get a whole lot for the world, irrespective of who is in power in the US. The world is at a bubbling point of chaos breaking out completely.

I'm leaning yes because it could lead to a very different situation in Israel, Ukraine, and potentially elsewhere (like Taiwan)~
too bad Armenia's not going to get their land back tho because that already happened! >:(

Bit late but I think the republicans will get the senate because Joe Manchin is retiring and I can't imagine WV not replacing him with a republican. Then Trump will win and the republicans will have both chambers of congress, the executive, and the judiciary, at which point everyone will spontaneously combust (jk, sort of)

I see it this way. We will either get the first female president or the first felon president. It's just unfortunate that neither of them are very good people at all. I'm not happy with either choice needless to say. I don't really want to even vote. It's like being forced to pick between the lesser of two evils.

We've got 330 million people in this country, and out of that somehow we narrowed it down to a giant douche and a turd sandwich.
Our primary system is broken.....

Every election in human history was the most important election of the moment for the people invested in it. But, 10, 50, 200 years past... Nobody cares.

Trump or Harris? It doesn't matter. The president is a figurehead whose power is very limited. Stalin, Hussein, Putin, Kim, Xi... They had/have power. Neither of our two can do 5% of what they promise. They don't matter and the election won't change our country in any significant way.

Kennedy (Marilyn), Ford (Rebound), Jimmy Carter (Peanuts), Clinton (The dress)... See my point?
