Discussion Do you think opposite sex strip searches should be allowed?

Does anyone find it a bit ridiculous how as adults and humans with self control, people still can't allow things like getting searched by a member of the opposite sex in a police station or at airport? Are most people this sex crazed? It sad that humans still have strong gender norms.

The problem is assuming someone in a position of power will exercise self-control or show respect, especially where nudity is involved. That's why such protections are in place, they're necessary.

Looking forward to all the indignant and defensive responses sure to follow. Anyone interested in making a bet how long before this thread is deleted or locked?

Never been strip searched but I imagine there's a feeling of vulnerability. A member of the opposite sex could be even more intimidating, in particular for those who haven't even done anything wrong.
