No. Maybe in the way, way future but no. Between abortion rights and the state of American healthcare, we shouldn't get our hopes up.

They truly do like making things inconvenient. With euthanasia programs, they can't use and abuse the ill as much

Lmao absolutely not. Abortion rights are still questioned to this day, let alone euthanasia. We're better off just literally immigrating to Canada.

Yes I think it's coming to all Western countries like UK, Canada, and the US. It will be abused. So in the past people did take care of the mentally ill, homeless, and other vulnerable members of society but that changes when u disrupt the natural order through the artificial imposed regimentation of society and individuals. Basically when u create incentives that break down the social cohesion, community, family, u get this situation now where there's people without support and the state has to do something with all these people who they don't have the money to take care of properly since they broke down the traditional support structures people used to rely on. This is why the euthanasia will become available to get rid of the people who can't support themselves financially or are old, or have mental health problems. When u impose slavery on the population, many people will fall thru the cracks. Many will fall in line but a portion of us can't cope with this unnatural system.

I actually do think that eventually euthanasia will spread to countries other than Canada or Switzerland. I stress the word "eventually" here, as I believe that it will take time.

Aye. The right because of "jesus", and the left because they're the useful idiots of big pharma.

That said, it's quite rare for either side to ever hold sway entirely. At the moment, the West is very must towards the Left, but that is (I think) beginning to change. We may see some changes.

On a state level? Maybe. I doubt it'll ever be on a federal level, though.

My state has had a euthanasia since 1997, just after the world first law of it's type in Australia.

The law is very restrictive and is medically driven. Being terminally ill is a requirement. That said, they are working on removing the need to be a state resident, which would open it up to other states. I hope to see more and more expansions and less taboo around the subject.

On a national level, this won't be happening any time soon imo.

I think we probably will eventually. I know in some areas if someone has a terminal illness they can request MAID. I think its only a matter of time until its a more widely available option.

Nope. I'd be willing to bet that it won't be available for Canadians either unless you're on deaths door, or have beyond debilitating and recognized mental issues. Ex extreme schizophrenia. Switzerland and Belgium will be FAR more lenient.

We already have it in the form of guns 4 all. 🤪

But in seriousness, not for the foreseeable future. Too toxic of an issue and not nearly profitable enough. I've never heard of anyone discussing it as a priority here.

Speaking of guns, I went to a psych ward so now I'm banned from owning guns. The suicide instinct would prevent me from pulling the trigger anyways

Honestly? I don't think so because of the bureaucracy of the society here in the US. It's a pleasant thought have euthanasia and other types of assisted suicide methods, but sadly as current projections from what can be seen through this seer's eye, no. It's not plausible to be happening soon.

No I don't think so. America will kill you for murder but even that takes over a decade. The greed is right. Even a funeral is thousands. The cheapest "disposal" is $600 with cremation.

no. dead people don't make the economy money. so why purposely kill people off.
if anything, it would be people who take more money than give back, like the extremally elderly and sick, who use thousands of dollars of hospital supplies to keep their basically dead bodies going as long as possible. even then there's stuff like insurance that pays for it. so who knows. definitely not for mentally ill people.
