Discussion Do you think about listening to a song during ctb?

I always thought about listening to a song before ctb (I even created a playlist). I feel it would be sweet and welcoming, at least for me. My head is too noisy to die in "silence".

Having tried to a few times, yes I have music I play on headphones, just songs that mean something to me at the time.

At the mo my next playlist will start with Pink Floyds Time. The words, one day you look behind, 10 years have passed behind you, no one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun. Kinda seem apt at my age 10yrs post divorce lol

The first time I attempted suicide, I was listening to music. I had to turn it off because it made the moment even more difficult and emotional and it was just too much. Having to turn music off during that time was also heartbreaking. Depending on how I feel when the time comes again, I may try again or not.

Personally, if i do ctb, i plan on doing it on a bathroom stall in a party, so i'm drunk as hell and there's no chance of my family ending up "saving" me, so there's going to be some crap party music in the background already, but i won't mind (i'll be drunk anyway, that's the plan at least).

P.S: Legal ter outro BR aqui, tipo, "legal" não é né, gostaria que nenhuma pessoa no mundo precisasse usar esse site, mas infelizmente a vida não é um conto de fadas... Só falta mais algumas postagens e vai dá pra mandar mp. Dá uma olhada ai pelo fórum, tem muita coisa interessante. Eu acompanhava faz um tempo já mas só me cadastrei agora pq vi a necessidade de falar com pessoas que estão passando pelo mesmo que eu. Acho que é o seu caso tbm.

Last time I tried I listened to my favorite song, it was Paradise by BTS. The "Stop running for nothing my friend" part really speaks to how I feel.
When I try again, I don't really know if I'll bother to listen to any song when it happens. I'll probably just turn on the radio to distract me from the outside noises.

Sinatra's "Fly Me to the Moon" has always sounded like a suicide song to me... "Unintended" by Muse also sounds like one. Maybe I'm twisted. I'm not sure if I would want to listen to them while I kill myself, though.

My mom used to be write her own music and her songs were important to me when I was a kid so I'd probably listen to her cd. It's beautiful and reminds me of a better time and I think it'll be nice to hear her voice one last time. But if hearing her makes it too difficult to fulfill my plan, I'd probably switch to a song/playlist from the NieR: Automata OST. It definitely seems odd to listen to a videogame soundtrack when you are about to die, but almost all of them are so hauntingly beautiful it fits my feelings quite well. And the language is completely made up (with a few English and Japanese words thrown in) I'll get to decide what the final message I hear is gonna be.
