Sometimes it's kind of weird when a film suddenly ends with no real closure. Especially if it had had a lot of tension prior. Does that tend to bother you or, do you think it's more realistic to life? Some films also seen to me to have a more natural closing moment but, they keep going. 'The Phantom Thread' was like that for me. Not that it spoilt the film or anything. It's just that I was expecting the credits and it kept going. Beautiful music in that film:
Are there specific endings to films/ series that really annoyed you? Obviously, spoiler alerts!
I think I sort of like both. If it's some big adventure quest, I suppose you kind of want there to be a definitive end. It's usually a happy ending a lot of the time too. Good finally overcoming evil. But, when it's more just an observation on life, maybe it makes sense where it doesn't have a strong ending.
I think the worst is when a long running TV series just gets cancelled. I much prefer it when they have a proper ending. Not that any of it is all that important but, I wondered if people had any opinions on it.
