Do you have any friends online or offline?

Ok so I get a little inquisitive (dont hate me!!) of the others on here and if they have any friends.
I do not actually have any friends at all just FYI I guess (did not want to come off as if I am being rude!)

Yes, but i've cut communication off with a lot of them. There's only 1 or 2 who talks to me reg. I think it'll be easier to ctb without them.

And i think it's better this way since i've turned toxic.

If you want to keep them as friends, text them happy thanksgiving. It's a small gesture to show you are thinking about them. This is if you're in the US, of course.

I cannot make friends with people offline because I have to see their flesh bag.
Why do you feel that you need to see the organic side of a human to have a emotional connection

Thanks for the advice but I don't live in America. We don't celebrate thanksgiving. But when there is holiday I usually send them happy wish text. But I've been physically distant. I rarely leave the house.

The whole package is what's human. Also I need to be able to Jesé a person's appearance to get a good idea of what they're like. Stereotypes are a set of patterns that reveal a lot. How do they dress? Do they take care of themselves? How is their gait? My physical description isn't what it used to be but it would correctly inform a person that I'm poor but neat, physically healthy but mentally ill, etc.

I agree about stereotypes but you can also read into people from the nuances within their text communications.
What you described regarding the information you obtain from seeing someone is largely similar to what you obtain from their online avatar and name plus other small details pieced together.

I always feel guilty when I come to comment on topics like this, it always feels like bragging. I actually have a lot of friends both offline and online, some online I've never met. I'm really social.

Only as a child have I ever had real offline friends. Once we became older we either drifted apart or we only kept a superficial friendship (mostly online). But now I dont even talk to my online friends anymore. I guess you could say it were friendships that werent meant to last for bad times.

With superficial friendship, I mean that we never got close to each other physically or mentally, only ever talked about mundane topics to fill the silence.

I have no RL friends, I haven't since my social life got catastrophically destroyed by bullying in college. Since then, I've only been able to make two online friends. One I became close to over the years, our life situations were relatable, plus we shared quite a few interests. She was into anime and gaming like me, so we partook in a lot of that together and made some enjoyable memories over the years. Unfortunately, things fell apart pretty badly and we slowly drifted apart. Then last year she killed herself, which was a pretty big blow to me.

The second friend I made I'm still friends with, and it helps me somewhat from being cripplingly depressed and suicidal, but it has a lot of ups and downs. I've found my efforts to recover my social life to be exceedingly difficult the older I get. It's one of those ugly, demoralizing aspects of adult life that everyone seems to want to avoid facing.

I have one or two online friends that i am making... and i have a couple of offline friends that are "surface friends" meaning they don't know what's really going on with me- i don't really know in depth what's going on with one of them, with the other i'm always there for her to vent- she's going through brutal issues, and i'm standing by her.
Otherwise i have acquaintances- we know each other exist but when i ctb i'm sure they'll be appropriately shocked etc. :-(
