I think there will. It's not that hard to make for anyone knowledgeable and equipt in the medicine or chemical producing business, or connected with it. After all it was very commonly sold in the past, and it is such a high profit item to sell on the black market. I don't know why the various places in China stopped selling it, or why someone someplace hasn't yet filled the vacancy.

This was 3 years ago. This specific shortage is not ongoing. But as far as I know there are some kind of regional shortages of certain brands due to the closure or financial problems of some factories, and due to drug law changes, for example in Mexico.

AfaIk Most times its a liquid or a powder and you have to swallow it .... And an AE is also recommended if you take it orally.... Its was a strong sleeping medicine once.... So in contrast to sn where you "poison" your blood and it's oxygen transporting capacity, you overdose on a sleeping agent...

In cases of assisted suicide it is also possible to get it as an injection...

Yes, it's a very powerful sedative. It's the same drug they use to euthanize pets.

I highly doubt we'll see a new, known seller. N isn't worth the risk for most with access to it since it's not like it gets them recurring customers. Other substances are far more profitable.

It's ingested or injected as a liquid, not a pill. N and other barbiturates are depressants that have fallen out of use largely because of their addictiveness and lethality. Its holy grail status comes from the fact that it's a comparatively quick, painless, and clean way to go and was relatively accessible.

Probably not, it has mostly been replaced by benzodiazepines in terms of all but one of its functions.
Anyone who can get it is likely a company who is unwilling to sell it, people who aren't involved in the companies that produce it likely won't be able to get their hands on it, and even if they could most drug dealers aren't willing to sell stuff that isn't profitable. Hell, it's an obscure drug, we are one of the few groups who would even know of it, genuinely care about it and want to get hold of it, the other groups being the businesses that work with it and law enforcement, and I suppose drug users who want to try "novel drugs".
KL was a rare exception, most people do not sell things specifically for people to commit suicide with them, that will just put them on the police's radar and will not be profitable. Hell, KL WAS on the police's radar, he just argued that he wasn't selling anything illegal, nembutal is regulated in most of the world and thus is an illegal drug in any case. Let us sell this illegal substance that is incredibly difficult to obtain in the first place and is only appealing to a customer base that is unprofitable and likely to get us arrested!
