I personally find myself relating A LOT to jinx from arcane which is odd to say as a guy LMAO. The mental breakdowns and fear of abandonment and the violence, the self harm. I mirror a lot of it years before I even watched the show.
I also have had people say my demeanor is very jinx esce which I take as a compliment lol.
I use to be very skinny like her too (96lbs at 5'11 as a 18 year old male) though in recent years I gained good muscle (155lbs at 21 pure muscle very little fat)
I felt seen watching arcane for the first time and watching jinx on screen
What are your comfort characters?

Good 'ol Charlie Brown

sometimes I lie awake at night and ask "where did I go wrong?"
Then a voice speaks to me and says:
"this is going to take more than one night"

i think i find comfort in bad people. so i can look at them and compare myself and feel a little bit better about myself. which probably sounds horrible šŸ˜…

for example though, bojack horseman. or like gretchen in the series "you're the worst". or a lot of the characters from shameless.

My biggest comfort characters are my original characters! I pour a lot of myself into them, so I guess they naturally became molded to my specific tastes. They're also my special interest, so I find a lot of joy in talking about them, drawing them, thinking about them etc etc.

My favorite fictional character of all time in existing media, though, is Mami Tomoe from MadoMagi. I've always related to 'big sister' type characters. Plus, her design is super appealing! I'd definitely consider her a comfort character.

It's a classic one, but Dazai Osamu. Never saw a character as Suicidal as myself before him. He led me to find the author of the same name, who has become my idol. The author tried to kill himself 6 different times, and did end up succeeding. He's got many many many stories about mental illness and suicide, and I've read almost all of them by now.

The character, though, is my special interest too. I love that anime, and I've loved it for 6 and a half years now. He's definitely very comforting!! One of the only things that can make me smile now.
