I feel incredible relief that now I don't need to worry about holding the correct opinions about the various circumstances leading to the worlds end, and more significantly I don't have to convince anyone else of those opinions. I found it almost impossible to keep up with all the events happening and all the conclusions I'm supposed to draw from them. I think if I actually wanted to live and have kids and stuff I would be quite scared about a lot of things happening right now.

(te best would even be if it was only me to know it. i would open up a threat in ss to tell those who want to know ;) oh i would be so grateful if this were reality

I sure do.
I can't find a single moment of happiness in my life it's so unfair that other people leave most of their lives having fun and sucess at every turn. Let the world end and the human race go extinct. The planet will thank us for it.
At least i can have the comfort of knowing that i won't be the only one or the one with more to lose, even though i realise that's kind of an ass way of thinking.

Not trying to sound positive or anything, but my rational and unbiased opinion is that the world is not going to end as soon as most people believe. Media has done a great job of making things worse than they seem and make people hopeless, when in fact the population growth is bound to stabilize at some point (around 11 billion people), global warming will not completely destroy civilization, just change it drastically (and only if we allow it to happen), we've never been so close to world peace than in this century (or at least we were before Trump), many diseases are disappearing thanks to vaccines, women and minorities have more rights than ever, technology has made life easier and more comfortable, organized religion is gradually losing new followers due to the influence of science and etc. If you don't believe in me just do some research. The world may seem bad now, because it is, but it was waaaaayyyyy worse than now. Yes, there are new problems arising, such as widespread corruption, wage inequality and lack of privacy, but having new problems is not exclusive to this century. It happened all the time in human story and will always happen. We're just stupid apes, after all.
Anyway, to answer your question, yes, I'd feel relieved if the world was actually going to end soon, but not because I care about whatever happens to society, but because I'd know that even if my suicide attempt failed I'd still die soon.

No. I've always wanted my daughters and granddaughters to have at minimum the same chance I did to try and make a life I enjoyed.

But sometimes; yes; I do breathe a huge sigh of relief. Maybe it's best God(s) Grand Architect of the Universe or Evolution if you happen to subscribe to Charles Darwin start over and consider this a learning experience to be used I be in the next batch of Human Beings.

Quite right but there is still the biblic Armageddon scenario.
I realise that you probably don't believe in it but for the ones that do it drastically changes the picture.

The answers here remind me of one of the best films I've ever seen, Melancholia. Two sisters one of whom can't wait for the world to end as a planets heading towards earth and she's suicidal. The other is absolutely devastated she won't get to see her little boy grow up and by the end of the film our sympathies are with her as we realize what a selfish bitch the suicidal one actually is

What is the point of being selfless in a selfish world?

Well, did you expect a movie to paint the suicidal one in a good light? :)
What is the point of being selfless in a selfish world?

It makes it easier for the selfish to use and abuse you in any way they see fit. You know, if a peaceful exit was available for everyone, bullying and exploiting would not really work. Victims need to be forced go stay there and supply for corrupt systems to work.

The point is maybe it's only selfish because everyone asks themselves that question

If all them thousand decided it's them who's going to try to break the cycle they'd be no problem. I'm not saying it will happen but it's not impossible. It just needs everyone to take responsibility and stop blaming everyone else. There is literally no point complaining about anything if you just do it yourself anyway.

No. I'm ready to die, but I think dying in the midst of a bunch of hysterical people who are not would be a real drag. I'd be more excited to find out someone put a hit out on me or I was dying of a rare incredibly rapid progressive disease.

Honestly yes. I feel terrible that everyone else has to die along side me, but In so fucking scared to do it myself. Im working towards the courage and getting closer, but I wish an outside force would do it for me. Global warming becoming worse quickly is an kdd pleasure, but definitely brings me comfort.

The world isn't ending, but the post-WWII order sure is. Pax Americana is on its last legs, history is on the move, and as they say, history is bloody. Of course, for billions of people around the world, Pax Americana hasn't been remotely peaceful anyway, but for those of us lucky enough to live in the Western World, major demographic and geopolitical changes are already underway that will make the world less stable, less peaceful, and more violent within a couple generations. The past 75 years or so of relative peace between the world's major powers is a historical anomaly, and I'm personally a little satisfied to get out before it all comes crashing down.

And that's before getting into our current Leviathan governments transitioning from heavily militarized police states to heavily militarized total surveillance states, as we see happening in China and the UK, the resurgence of nativism is the West (which has already spread to much of the rest of the world), and the impending economic decline that will result from the recent opposition to free trade and globalism. There are plenty of alarming parallels between today's world, and the several years before WWI.

Definitely a good time to be bailing out.

When & how is the world ending? I missed the memo.

I haven't seen it mentioned on this thread yet but many folks are waiting for the global financial reset.

The fact is modern money = debt. The global economy requires debt be borrowed into existence in greater and greater amounts to support the functioning of said economy. The more debt borrowed into existence, the more the money supply is diluted to the point where fiat currency/paper money is valueless. Hyperinflation on a global scale is being forecast by experts on youtube (Gregory Mannarino, ITM Trading's Lynette Zang, financial turmoil explained... to name a few) and when this happens a "mad max scenario" will occur because nobody will be able to afford anything with their dollars or paper money. Experts and folks preparing for the financial reset are collecting historical money... gold and silver, and new age money... cryptocurrencies.

To sweeten the pot, a recession is being forecast based on reliable historical patterns to occur within the next 2 years. But the experts are saying this won't be a regular recession, but worse... a depression greater than the great depression.

I've been waiting to die in this economic collapse since 2013 but I don't want to wait anymore... and chances are the government will find a way to keep me alive as a plantation slave or something working for bread crumbs.

Like I said, I'm done waiting.

I DO live in South America too, and I hate it a lot, but I'm just trying to be rational. Just because things are getting worse in one place doesn't mean the whole world is becoming worse. That is what I wanted to point out.

i agree with this ,a lot. what i do is to proyect that hate not to people ,im no one to judge others peoples lives, but the cops, the military, the goverment ,the capitalism and ugh so many things that i cant fix ,and tbh almost nobody can do something radical because the system is still working anyways.
