I tend to eat more in case of trying to fill the void or make time pass when nothing else seems appealing. I also have phases where I eat way too little though

Less when the depression is more severe than usual. I dropped 15lbs in less than 2 weeks back in March.

Honestly I can go back and forth. I would lean towards overeating most of the time.

I become a glutton. Even when I'm concerned about my weight, it becomes a negative feedback loop, or spiral, wahtever you call it

More, I definitely use food to cope and also to distract myself from negative thoughts or emotions. I "recovered" from bulimia, as in I kept binging but stopped purging. Now the worse my mental health is, the worse the binging.

Being in the abyss, I don't see enjoyment in my life anymore, not even food, so I am basically on water and electrolytes and constantly fasting.

I comfort eat. I used to binge eat. The only time I don't eat is when I'm really nervous.

So much less. I lose my appetite. Its almost impossible for me to eat when I am depressed.. which is literally all the time. I am 19, 5'0, and weigh 100 pounds. My docs tell me it is normal weight though lol

More. Im too depressed to do my normal hobbies, so I substitute them with eating since it requires almost no effort.

I usually end up eating less because Im to anxious to go to the grocery until theres literally no food left. And when I do have the energy to make food I lose my appetite as soon as I sit down to eat.

Unsure? I tend to not eat for awhile (6-12hrs) & then I'll binge. It's a problem. I have really poor self-esteem & when I eat I bloat really bad, & when I notice it, especially in a depressive episode - I will eat a lot less or just stop entirely for a few hours until I get really really hungry - & then I binge. I cause my self a lot of gastrointestinal issues.

I don't eat a lot, generally just coffee in the morning, water throughout the day, and one meal. When I've felt like shit I usually eat the same amount, but I'm way more likely to eat unhealthy stuff because I can't be bothered to cook, so I just buy junk food or order the least healthy pizza I can find. Needless to say, that does nothing to improve my mood. :)

tbh that really depends...
I did have some times where I did eat more to sort of "keep myself distracted with food" but that didnt happen a lot.
Generally I'd say I eat less, but you could argue that that's just the natural result of me spending less energy & sleeping more, so the energy requirements of my body are lower.
Also sleep suppresses hunger.
In the end I get hungry when my body needs food again, I was never someone who ate when I wasnt hungry, so... depending on how much energy my body needs it'll make me eat, if I want to or not.
So when there are a lot of things I just have to do, no matter how bad I'm feeling than it's just the natural outcome that I get hungry since my body needs to get the energy from somewhere, and I can't really lose any more fat and muscles to get that energy from there since that already happened when my health made a jump for the worse a few years back, and I lost about 8kg in 2 months.
Now almost 4 years later I got about half of that back though.
