I'm amazed that more people in the world don't even attempt suicide let alone complete it. Life fucking sucks. There are good things but those don't outweigh the bad.

If people like Robin Williams, Anthony Bourdain, Kate Spade can kill themselves with wealth, fame, and good looks, who are we, the commonfolk?

I think most people do, yes, at least sometimes. I think it's a totally natural thought to have in response to life's pains and general pointlessness. In fact, I think I'd be more worried about people that don't have such thoughts! You'd wonder what concoction of drugs they're living on to be able to dull their sensitivities to what is going on around them.

I'm sure people think about it more then they'd like to at times. I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who's never atleast considered the thought in their lifetime.

I think most people have fleeting thoughts, but it's more uncommon to dwell on it and make actual plans.

I do get the impression that more people think about suicide than actually do it which requires you to somehow circumvent the survival instinct. Most people don't progress from A to B.

I think that having suicidal thoughts often is a natural response to the conditions of the 21st century. I just don't think they're talked about much and for most people they happen for a while, maybe you break up with someone, then go away as things improve.

Robin Williams had early dementia. That might have something to do with that one.

@freedommatrix, I can only assume: wealth, fame, and good looks, aren't removing the suffering that causes these people to do what they do. Life does suck I don't disagree with you there, but if we all jumped off the cliff like in lemmings at the first sign of trouble, I don't think that is much of a solution.

I think it's in part the pressures of fame and fortune, easy access to good drugs, that make it easier for these people to achieve ctb. Hanging is much easier to complete if u are messed up on the right drugs but I could be wrong. I don't think I could hang myself totally sober. People who are very well off actually have a higher success rate of completed suicides and I suspect this is why. There has to be more stress and pressure on these people to look successful and maintain their status. Regular people just don't have these pressures to the same degree.
