Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Just wondering if people over there get that assistance, like getting help to cope that this is your fate and being able to come to peace with it.

No, i highly doubt they keep any therapists or counselors on staff. You need to come to peace with all that before using their services.

No, they aren't therapists or counselors, nor do they keep any on staff. You need to come to peace with all that before using their services.

Not only that, I'm pretty sure that you have to provide evidence you've already tried therapy and exhausted all of your options.

Most of these places are pretty strict. You can't get their help by just saying you want to die. There are also waiting periods and from what I've read, getting approved for only psychological problems like depression is really difficult - especially if you are under 60yo. I know it's happened - there was a girl from Europe in her late 20s who was euthanized for depression, but there was a lot of negative press about it.

In the US, euthanasia for psychological problems is nonexistent. For the states that allow it, you have to have a terminal illness with less than 6 months to live, signed off by 2 doctors.

All correct. I was assuming OP meant in a case where you were already approved, but needed help accepting the situation and all. You would probably need a separate therapist for that.

Ya, that may be what they meant - was just expanding on the issue a little bit.

Well, that woman had a whole constellation of mental health issues all of which compounded each other and rendered their effective treatment much more difficult.

The situation in America is more accurately described as assisted suicide than euthanasia but yeah only a handful of states for imminently terminal people only.
