I have Crisis coming again today to see me. Whoopy Fuck!
On Wednesday I said I want to die and they are coming to see me to start a program!!
Discussion with partner lastnight which actually did made us howl with laughter.
M- don't tell them you want to die as they will section you.
R- they have no bed so that's impossible they will.
M-that's fucking crazy
R- I did say I wanted to go peacefully
M- we can't afford £10,000 for Dignitas.
R-fuck that I ain't paying that either.
M- anyway they don't take mentally ill patients
R-you'll have to kill me insread
M- I think I'll have to.
We then burst out laughing.
It's the closest I'd felt to him in ages.

Lol. Good luck! I've just dodged a crisis assessment visit. I only went to see my CPN today unknowingly with ligature marks around my neck! I really need to look in the mirror more! Honestly, I impress myself sometimes with my charm and gift of the gab! She's telling her manager and briefing the team, but no assessment.
What the hell is a program?

Which part of the Uk are you from? All I know is where I am you have to have attempted before they do anything like that.
It's nice that you can discuss it with your partner.

Ugh I hate welfare checks (at least that's what it's called in the US). It is degrading and humiliating as well as a big violation of trust, respect, and even autonomy. In the US, they are generally done by law enforcement (police) sometimes with a psychologist/mental health professional. If the welfare check finds that the person is a danger to themselves or others (especially the former), then sadly, they can take the person to the ER and/or hospital against the person's will. Also, when it comes to welfare checks, the police can go in without a warrant or permission if they believe there is a crime being committed (in progress) or if there is imminent danger (person dying or attempting suicide). It sucks and I hate how someone can potentially abuse this on people they suspect are a danger/getting back at someone without any repercussions for their actions.

Anyways, glad to see your partner and you having a good time and him being understanding. I do hope that you are able to get the crisis team off your back and avoid any future trouble with them. What your partner says in the first sentence is spot on. Mental health professionals are NOT your friends or buddies, they are there for the government and healthcare industry. Regardless of what they try to claim, their job is to get people to say the wrong thing and use that against them.

I'm in darkest north Devon, sadly the facilities are not great unless you go private which I've had to in the past.
Crisis are trying to find me respite which I'm surprised at, they think it would be better for me to have time away from the stress of home and work. They are trying to find me a place close to where I live so I can see my dogs and they can come and stay and I can see my partner. Spoke to someone on a uk bipolar group who did the same and she said it was the best thing she did. It had got to a stage that her kids were frightened of her.

I am sorry to hear you're struggling , it is great that they have offered you respite and I do hope you manage to get it. I guess the services are stretched to the max right now so i can imagine why you went private. Wishing you all the best.:hug:

Thank you Wildmoon. A weight as been lifted off me to be honest because of this and the lithium as started to kick in so fingers crossed it will help, I won't ever recover from Bipolar but the drugs now will help and I refused lithium for years.
