Dear reader,

Does anybody know the difference in the dying proces between hanging and inhaling nitrogen? Both are a form of anoxia, right?

-One is hard to get and the other is everywhere

-One is difficult to knot and the other has a "simple" process

Thank you

So, I'm no expert in hanging, but I remember hearing a while back that proper hanging makes you die by breaking your neck as a result of the drop.

Now, when it comes to "ordinary" hanging it stops you from breathing. Nitrogen doesn't stop you from breathing, You can breathe as much as you like, you may not notice anything is wrong until it's too late. When it comes to biology I think it's more or less the same, you don't get oxygen, your brain shuts down, followed by your heart, you die.

Hanging very often functions by cutting off blood flow to the brain, depriving it of oxygen even without necessarily cutting off the airway.
