difference between complete and partial hanging

i apologize that this might sound really stupid but it's a genuine question i have. what is the difference between complete and partial hanging, and is one considered "better" than the other? which one is less painful?

everything you need to know is in the hanging thread in the resources compilation. full suspension you barely touch the ground or not at all. neither is better, but partial is easier to pull off and is therefore the more popular option. as for pain that kind of depends how you do it
