Anyone else also dealing with this? I was already feeling mentally unwell and now I feel it physically. There is a disgusting twisted feeling in my stomach constantly. I can never relax and my body is always tense. I feel as if I have the body of an elderly person. I dont even belive in anything greater like a higher power or ultimate purpose but it really feels like the universe is out to get me. I dont know how much longer I can go with my body falling apart alongside my mind.

Personally it's my weight. I've gained 40 pounds over the last few months. And I don't feel like doing anything about it. :( but I can definitely feel the difference and feel more unhealthy and happy than I was.

Yes it has gotten so bad it weakened my immune system. Now I have very bad, unexplained allergic reaction and very sensitive to tiniest dust and smoke. This has worsen my lung problem significantly. All of these in addition to fatigue, headache, sore muscle without any significant physical activity, stomachache, and occasional vomitting when I am way too anxious. Even doctor couldn't find a legit reason for my weak body other than "allergy". Apparantly stress is also an allergen.

The mind is very powerful. It can make and break you physically. You will notice that when you are in the situation that you are in. It can go even worse though. The mind can even paralyze your whole body. From problems with breathing to so much stress on the muscles that you can hardly move.

You can reverse this by training the mind. With yoga and/or meditation you can beat this. 3 years ago i suffered from it terribly, were every evening was a hell to get through. I fixed it myself by doing yoga. I never was the person who believed that crap, about yoga and meditation. But I was wrong. I looked up some vids on youtube, and just started doing it. And without it, I would not have made it. Give it a go. It won't fix everything at once, but after a few sessions you know how powerfull it is.

So I don't know how well this would work for depression, but has anyone tried swimming laps at a pool? I find I always feel better after I get from one side to the other. Even if I can only do 10 minutes with some breaks in between I feel like I've accomplished something.

Then hit the the jacuzzi or hot tub if available.

And I say this as woman whose over 200lbs, not all gyms are full of douche bags! No one has ever made feel worse about myself at my gym.

I swim mainly to keep pressure off my knees and I do notice rain and cold doesn't bother me as much.

If you can afford it, I would also recommend getting a personal trainer at a Pilates studio. I started doing Pilates because my Workman's Comp wouldn't pay for the physical therapy I still needed. For me, Pilates has been so much better! Instead of focusing on part of your body, I get a full workout and my body is responding a lot more.

I sincerely hope that everyone who suffers from depression and anxiety can get the help they need AND deserve. Peace be with you!

I smoke a hell of a lot of weed to combat my physical ailments. Not for everyone but works for me.

That's a good description of what depression can feel like. Body tense constantly, feeling weak, tired and full of anxiety...nothing good that's for sure.

When I am very empty and numb I feel cold, and I even shiver. I can't eat, I feel skinny, and I feel physically weak. Someone could slightly shove me and it would knock me over lol

Yes, I experience the same thing. Some of it is actual physical problems, but some of it is the depression. I feel like I'm 100 years old. I struggle to move around.

Yes, I have had so much emotional pain over the years that it genuinely turned into physical pain. I reckon elevated cortisol levels all those years also did a number on my body.

Same here. When I'm very stressed I breakout into hives as I deal with an autoimmune skin condition.
It's so visible, especially around my neck and it sucks so bad because people can see that.
