i've been feeling so down lately and i've been experiencing this weird sensation in my chest. it's like there's something trying to come out and it feels tight and heavy. i think it might be related to my depression, but i'm not sure. have you ever felt anything like this before? any advice on what i should do?

I have the same thing too. If you dont care about conesequences and want immedieate relief, usually some sort of immediete form dopamine rush such as smoking or sexual orgasm(from sex or masturbation). But really what you should do is try to distract yourself such as reading a book or listening to some kind of youtube video or podcast. Alternatively you could try breathing excercises or meditation(I personally haven't done those but theres various testimonies/research supporting this). I definienty relate since it feels like your close to knocking at deaths door and really floors your mental stability. Hope youll find some sort of peace.

My chest has been hurting constantly for the last few weeks. It's so extremely painful but I doubt I'm suffering from a heart attack or anything like that. I get what you're saying. It's near suffocating.

Depression is one of the three main causes of chest tightness etc

When I think about killing myself I get this weird sensation in my chest. It's not a bad feeling. Not painful. Has a sense of relief and feels good

I feel this acutely and specifically when I have intense episodes or moments of negative self talk/ self hatred (personally for me this is in regard to disappointing my parents). i never feel emotions this viscerally unless it's about the self-hatred that comes with being a failure

Its could well be a symptom of anxiety. I get that sometimes with/because of my anxiety. Anxiety , as in my case, often goes together with depression.
Perhaps you could try anxiety medication.
Good luck.

I also get similar weird feeling and as others have stated I've just figured it's a symptom from anxiety/depression mix.

But the feelings I get can sometimes feel like I'm balancing something heavy on something thin/small if it makes sense? Also like if someone is cutting strings inside of me and it tightens and hurts and gives a cold chilling sensation. It's very uncomfortable.

Sometimes I feel pressure-like sensations in my chest, they appear together with the feeling of deep sadness without anxiety. I think, the reason why people may have similar sensations with anxiety is because both frustration and anxiety may induce high adrenaline levels.
But really what you should do is try to distract yourself such as reading a book or listening to some kind of youtube video or podcast.
Those feelings may be very intrusive, and distraction with reading or watching something doesn't help me to cope with them, but I find running or intense physical exercises helpful.
