Hello everyone. This is my first post after following the forums for the past month.

In February, I will be CTB. As for my method, I'm stuck between SN and SA. I have an abundance of both thanks to my occupation, so procuring is not an issue.

Two concerns I have are:
1. Detectability post mortem
2. Survivability and facing a fate worse than death

For legal reasons, I need my death to be as little suicide-like as possible. I know SN have very clear signs after death. However where I live, suicide by SN is unheard of (or unlikely to be ruled as cause of death without in depth examination). I'm not entirely sure of the signs SA leaves after death, but question is:
Which one would raise suspicion more when examined, and potentially end up being ruled as "suicide" by the coroner?

And the other question is:
Which one is the definitive, most reliable method? I know SA has no antidote, and that they both cause some sort of oxygen deficiency. I'm afraid of surviving and ending up with brain damage and becoming a liability.

Thank you all

In short, I need to make sure my relatives don't inherit any debt to my name because loan insurances don't cover suicides

Dying of SA is horrible compared to the death of SN. Dying from SN feels like fading out slowly out of consciousness, while dying from SA feels very similar like dying from cyanide. You are literally suffocating with plenty of air around, all your muscles in your entire body are spasming, you are also having very strong seizures, and all of this happens while you are still conscious. Also the corpse is very poisonous when dying from SA. First responders might poison themselves if they try to revive you.
This is why SA is very rarely used as a method to ctb. With SN the corpse is not poisonous at all.

That makes some things clear, thank you a lot. I'm also bit concerned about the dosage required for either to work, where
SN is about 25 grams, and
SA is about 3 grams.

It feels like finding 25 grams of SN in someone's post-mortem examination would raise more suspicion when it comes to ruling for suicide compared to 3 grams of SA. Do I have the wrong way of thinking?

Even if you ingest just 3g of SA it will be very much detectible. As I said, the corpse itself will become poisonous from the SA. If the body is found 12-24h after death, most of the SN inside the body will be dissolved. Since in your country SN suicides are unheard of, people will think that you died of heart attack, but they will be baffled by the chocolate-brown blood the SN causes. In my country North Macedonia as of January 2026 there isn't a single case of SN suicide too.
