Seen a photo of a boy who put his neck on the left side of the rail with the rest of his body off the track. His head rolled into the middle of the tracks. I just wanted to ask abt the moments AFTER following through with something like this. Would a slower train be able to do this? Would I FEEL any of this while it's happening for a faster train? If the train was moving slowly, how long would it take me to lose consciousness?

i heard of people who were executed by guillotine can keep blinking or even reacting to their name being called, but only for at MOST 20-30 seconds. due to the instant stop of blood flow to the brain, scientists now say meaningful consciousness ends in 5-10 seconds

Yes. basically ANY train, no matter how slow will be able to do it.

The thing is I wonder how slow or fast those 5-10 seconds of meaningful consciousness feel. A little sting or a burst of pain that fades as quickly as it comes at you? Ty for the information :)

imo (im no expert i could be wrong) is that you'll go into shock basically as soon as it happens, so you might not have time to feel anything at all, especially as your head loses blood and its blood pressure fast, and severe pain can take a few moments for your brain to process, especially being disconnected from the rest of your body so suddenly. i feel like you'll most likely be out before you know it, and if you are still aware for a moment any pain will be ended very soon after the train rolls over

i wouldn't be surprised tho if there was anything else low enough attached to the train that hits your head as well, knocking you out before it all
