Likely, yes. With some thought, I'm still unsure. I don't even know why. I don't have any hope in my situation but I'm still here now.

I don't know, the thought of doing it somewhere with strangers seems cold and scarier to me than doing it alone. Even if it's a lot harder to do

You make a valid point I´d rather be alone with my precious memories before ctb instead of lying on a table like some death row inmate waiting to be put peacefully to sleep of course if I had those euthanasia drugs I would use them just not sorrounded by strangers that couldn´t care less about me.

I think about this a lot, because I really don't want to kill myself at all but have a physical illness that is just too awful to live with. I'm bedridden in terrible pain after a life that was VERY busy and happy! I have N here at home. I am still holding out for death with dignity euthanasia in Switzerland. I think a big reason that people go for the euthanasia in other countries is to keep the suicide from being known. For example, I would be doing so to keep my children from knowing that I actually committed suicide. I know a few other people doing it to save their family the heart ache of finding a body, knowing it's a suicide, dealing with all of that. I do wonder how I'm going to get all the way over there and go through sleeping in hotels and meeting with random people and going to the clinic and actually being put down like an animal with strangers. In some ways it seems easier because I'm not in complete control, in other ways it seems like it would make more sense to do it in the comfort of my own home.

I always remember some words. When we get old and ready to die, we regret we did not do something rather than regret doing something. I think for many people when they get old their final destination will be hospital. Is that the end we all want? Weeks or months on a small amount of square meters. I have one distant relative who was diagnosed stage 4 cancer. But he did not want to rot in a hospital. He lived like he used to live in a Siberian village among deep forests and fresh air. Instead of therapies he was making tinctures from cedar cones and plants which are unknown for me, was taking steam-baths like he used to do and then jumping in snow bank. He died 8 years later. He selected freedom instead of a hospital and I do believe it is more important thing than vain attempts to cure not curable illness and feel like you are already a corpse. So even if I get old (though it is impossible), I will choose freedom(suicide) rather than a concrete cage called a hospital.

i would love to die in dignity if my family accepted my decision. i would rather be with my family in my final moments than doing it behind their backs. either way would be painful for them but the latter would be more painful imo.

You say that, but some people have chosen and very set methods that they are comfortable and happy with. Some don't want to die with anyone around, some want to die in the forest, the list goes on. It probably isn't for everyone though I imagine the majority would say yes, however suicide is deeply personal and everyone will want something different, even if it's only slightly different.

I'm unsure. What's the catch?. Do my parents need to know that I'm getting this procedure done?, and is it simple to sign up for this service, and be accepted?. Is it expensive?, or is it affordable for all?, or better yet free?.

If death with dignity means dying peacefully and people believing you died of natural causes then I would choose it when the time comes.

If it were available tomorrow at my local clinic I'd go set up a camp there this instant.
Honestly, the pro-lifers who keep throttling the legalization of Euthanasia are just another reason to leave this clown world.

I'm unsure. My whole issue with CTB is about how it would adversely affect people I care about. Dying with dignity would be nice but it wouldn't solve my main problem.

unsure, I think some of my family will approve, but other will disapprove, so I can't say ... if there is a way to ctb in total anonymity , I will said yes, but if not I think it will be a real problem that can cause me to ctb without care of dignity in any way

I don't understand the question. Is it "death with dignity" versus suicide? To me "death with dignity" is a form of suicide, so it's not either/or, and the answer is yes.

Most definitely, assuming you mean I had the means to end my life quickly and painlessly whilst lying in bed.

Death from Nembutal, as is carried out in Switzerland, seems an ideal death.

I voted yes, and I'm 70% yes leaning, but still a 30% maybe. The thing is, I'm so conditioned to the way things are set up that, despite the reality of the situation as it'd be, I wouldn't be able to help feeling like I lived in a callous world. I don't think I'd enjoy anybody (apart from a suicidal person) in real life accepting my choice wholeheartedly. It'd be so alien to me I'd be shocked into mild resentment and confusion.

I feel like I'm somewhat happy with being a sort of suicide outlaw. And I'm not nearly close to the stage where I think a peaceful death isn't possible by my own hand. I don't know what'd make me think I'd be truly comfortable in an alien, clinical setting anyway. I've sort of grown used to the idea of dying in my own bed, in my own room.

I find the wording confusing... do you mean if that option was available, would you choose that option?

It looks like could mean that or could mean the opposite, and in if it was available would you still ctb by your own hand.
