Death ; morbid fascination?

Noticed multiple times the high number of guests when someone is closer to ctb , ready to drink SN or for the lucky ones N or night night method etc .
Is there some morbid fascination reading online death in real time including our goodbyes .
I hope the guests realize that it's deeply personal when we say farewell to our friends , do they understand why someone chooses to depart this prison planet or to a finer point , do they even care or is it just a side show for them .
People can be shy , anxious or whatever reason that stops them from becoming a member and participating in this forum . As for other guests are they just morbid ?

Probably. Maybe curiosity, maybe just interested, maybe just sick. It could be any of the things you mentioned. But we get people joining right after so it could be like people seeing if they want to come here. And yeah, it's hard seeing someone you care about ctb and it's personal for some of us.

Ik some of the guests care, but most of them don't and are looking for thrills. But it's not about them, it's about the people who're gonna be gone after a while and the people who want to support them in their last moments. That's what's important.

Honestly, I wouldn't care less about some death fetishist watching my thread.

I would do it for my own sake and reasons. And the only reason why I would post about my impending demise is that, just for my last second, I wouldn't need to feel so rejected and thrown aside, because someone, somewhere, would be watching over me.

Same here. I just joined and a few have left us since then. Even just a simple hug message seems to go along way

Well, it can be some kind of morbid fascination, but definitely not for everybody as we are all different.
Although we all know about gladiatorial combats.
There are also some people who is just interested in the subject.
Some people are weak enough to simply comment,
Some are researching to end their lives without any attention from other people
It is even high possibility that there are several pro-lifers among guests.
We cannot make a generalization based on our assumptions because as I mentioned above we are all different

Yeah , we all may suffer in one way or another , at the end of the day though we are all in the same boat so to speak and we each have our own voyage .

Agree with your post , people are here for different reasons .
Thinking more along the lines of goodbye threads where we have , let's say20 to 40 members staying with someone in their final moments , we also have around the same number of guests watching . Interesting to note earlier in the day we had 198 members and think it was 380 guests . Each to there own I suppose .
