If I failed to go through with full suspension next time then my second plan would be to try to cut my carotid artery. I attempted this once and I'm confident that I can cut my neck deep enough to reach the artery. But I fear I might fail to cut the artery like last time. If this happens then I don't want to tell my family what happened and then taken to hospital and psych ward. I want to die from my infection. But I don't know how painful it will be and the time it takes to die. Anyone knows?

If you really decide to do this, just try to do it in a day in which you're completely alone for a long time.

Hi friend thanks for your answer. If its going to take about 12 hours or even a day or two then its fine. But since you aren't sure I fear it might take many days. I'm usually not alone home and when I'm it isn't for long. I plan to use a scarf to cover it and stay on bed or disappear from home.

Really dude, this should totally be the first thing you try. I mean shit, it's not like sepsis won't take months to kill you as your health deteriorates over that time. But it's even better when it doesn't kill you, and you just wind up totally fucked. Oh, maybe you meant an infection from cutting yourself. Sure, you can cover it with a scarf - that will totally mask the smell of rotting flesh, and the super high fever and delirium you'll be facing. And I'm sure your life will be so so much better than it is now if you need a limb amputated.

Sorry, I know my reply was harsh, but infection isn't the way to go. Tall building, roof or high-level access, done - instant, no pain, no suffering. Best of luck friend.

I couldn't turn back to my first plan (hanging) and try it again with my cut neck injury. It might be a stupid thread like one member said but I feel trapped about my situation and asked here if someone knows the answer.

I'm sorry I said it was stupid. Really, I get that you're feeling trapped. There are a few other semi-reliable, cheap, and easily accessible methods other than full/partial and infection.

Death by sepsis is the antithesis of peaceful, and the associated infection would be extremely painful. You have obviously never had an abscess.

I came close to this in December with a naturally occuring infection. That took 6 days in the hospital to stabilize. I would not recommend it as a method.

OP, infection is a terrible way, it's painful and nasty. Not at all going to be a comfortable experience. I'd go so far as to say it shouldn't even be a last resort. The classics are the best, don't try to build a new system even as a backup. I know sometimes it'd be interesting to explore "Exotic" methods, but this is literal life/death. Don't try to re-invent the wheel. I appreciate coming to us first with this instead of potentially F-ing yourself up though.

Thank you everyone for your comments. Your warnings have made me realize its a terrible plan so I've decided to drop my 2nd plan (cutting the carotid artery) because failure in this might force me to try "death by infection".

Every method deserves discussion, even if for no other reason than to show how bad it is. I don't get the "auto close and delete" talk, it doesn't help anyone. In no way does a thread deserve to be "auto deleted" because some jaded old timers who have rote-memorised all the resources think it's dumb. Let people talk it out and come to their own conclusions.

While the "pro-auto close and delete" may have valid point, I certainly think that we should allow posts like these to be discussed without being closed or deleted. We could be dealing with new users here who don't know the etiquette or how to do proper research. We could be the voice of reason, and talk him or her out of the terrible methods. Posts like these are the reason why SS is alive. We should keep looking out for each other, and warn each other when it comes to unwise methods. We should correct any misinformed individuals to prevent unsafe and permanent damage.
