Time is getting close and I have a few questions if someone would be kind enough to help. I purchased a 25 lb bag of charcoal, bought a Cuisinart grill (probably holds 30 bricks). If I need to purchase another one and have them going at the same time I can. Will tape my tent (any particular tape?) I appreciate any information you are willing to provide. I have two weeks to get all my shit together and time is ticking. Will get my final paycheck (have to pay for my cremation) (no family or friends). Want to be sure this works - option isn't the greatest. Thanks

Thank you. I wish there was hope but there is none left. Going to be with the family I love

Duct tape seems the most obvious. You seem to have this down, but be prepared if it doesn't work the first time. I actually think this is one of the best options. Seems very close to painless. Hope your tent will be outside, but you seem pretty level headed.

Thank you for your input. I've been planning for a very long time.

Best wishes. Just curious is there any reason a tent is chosen? I would think a car that's more airtight would be better, unless you don't have one. I saw a documentary on Conrad Roy III and that's what he used.

I thought it would be easier to seal a tent rather than a vehicle.

Call me naive what is that?
Gases that feel like breathing air but kill you quickly, for example nitrogen.
I would prefer the death over anything except an overdose of Nembutal or Opioids but Nembutal is hard to get and for an opioid overdose I would either die with a needle in my arm or it would take too long.

isn't that what carbon monoxide does?

I'm sorry that you're in this situation. I hope that it's a peaceful passing.

The only suggestion that I would make is to have some sort of sign on your tent to warn others of potentially harmful gas.

Absolutely! I don't want to hurt anyone else. Why I'm going into the desert.

You can use caulking and a small brush to seal the seams in the tent, too. In order to get an extremely high concentration of CO in a small tent, and to overcome the certain loss of CO through the tent fabric, seams, and zippers, I was thinking that using more like 75 briquets of good quality, 100% carbon charcoal would be needed. It's far better to "over-do" this method rather than "under-do" it. The higher you can get the CO level, the quicker you can reach unconsciousness, which will help with the peacefulness. An actual CO meter that measures up to 10000 PPM would be nice, but not everyone can afford one. Here's a CO chart showing what one can expect as far as unconsciousness and death based upon varying levels of CO. Ideally, you need a level of 10000 PPM or more.
