Venting DAE feel guilty or upset when someone is kind to you

i know i'm lucky to have one or two people who care about me, but whenever someone tries to do something nice for me or is kind i feel like such a piece of shit knowing it's in vain, because soon i will ctb

was wondering if you feel similar?

I'm probably nicer when I'm around others, even on the internet, than when I'm alone with my thoughts. I'm too self-conscious to ever let out everything I'm thinking. I also haven't always been the nicest to people around me in the past, but I try my best.
