Help Cut my hair during an episode and I hate it

Hello people.
Ever since I have calmed down a bit from my episode on Thursday I've finally gotten a somewhat good look at what my hair looks like now. I cut it on Thursday because I wanted to seriously harm myself but couldn't because my parents took my stuff away. I just grabbed some blunt scissors and cut away a whole chunk. I'm now stuck with the most squarish bob that just reaches over my ears. It's looks so ugly I genuinely look like a fool! My mom trimmed it a bit straighter for me but my hair is super thick so I look like I have some kind of helmet on made out of hair but that paired with the berries and cream guy (if you know you know) I feel weird and awkward going outside because it feels like people are looking at me I'm thinking about going to the hairdressers but it's just expensive so that scares me quite a bit

I cut my hair during a manic episode because I thought "it would make me less like Jesus" and that "it would cut off negative energy". It was down to the end of my back up to my chin. If it gives you hope it's been 1-2 years and my hair is down to the middle of my chest with one trim in between.

If it looks alright a beanie type of hat will work and when I was insecure when I was able to I just put it back in a George Washington ponytail to just not have to look at it lol.

Not meaning to undersell the situation or feeling that led to your impromptu hair cutting... but hair is just hair. Of all the things you could do spontaneously, the hair will grow back.

I know I speak as a man, and generally nobody gives a fuck about how men's hair looks... but first time when I was younger I went for a crewcut, the barber cautioned me not wanting to do it... I wanted it out of frustration in life so it was a visceral reaction to completely change my appearance in that moment... but I said to him then that the hair would grow back, and if it somehow didn't then I'd get a head start on knowing what I was going to look like.

Turns out, despite my reason for doing it initially... I liked having virtually no hair. Felt lighter, cooler, didn't have to do jack shit with it to comb it and washing it took seconds! From then on I was getting crewcuts every few months. I've recommended the experience to women I've known too... though I know not many women like going that route for all the societal reasons.

Anyway, my point is... if you want your hair back to "normal" it will happen... and its about the most benign thing you can cut for self-harm so I'd rather someone do that than otherwise hurt themselves.

I recommend the ones with bangs as they cover up the fake hairline. Dont go too cheap on it though (cheap being <30 bucks)

If you have straight hair and its short, unfortunately theres not much a hairdresser can do, unless you like a pixie cut or a shag. Other haircuts usually require daily upkeep.
You could also thin out the hair and just rock the bob without the helmet look.

You're right….. but I think it also gave me such a blow to my confidence I felt at least a bit alright with longer hair but I was so out of it when I did it that I didn't think about the negatives… but I'll try to make it work! I have some hats and accessories at least
