Unfortunately, I'm still here. My gut problems took a turn for the worse right when my domperidone arrived, so I have not been able to try the SN method.
I have an appointment to see my GI later this month. Since I now have proof that my Crohn's is active (hello fistulas), I'm hoping she will consider letting me get a PICC line for TPN. Her idiot assistant has been pushing for me to be hospitalized with a feeding tube because she thinks my gut problems are all mental and that I'm purposefully starving myself. I'm hoping the feeding tube will be off the table now that my Crohn's symptoms are visible, and since my body is pretty much starved at this point from malabsorption, they will need to do something.
Since a PICC line is positioned in a vein that carries blood into the heart, that should open up some new cbt possibilities, shouldn't it? I know SN was nixed for peripheral veins and muscles, but could it potentially work with the PICC? Or maybe some medication/substance that's not effective when ingested would kill you when it goes straight to the heart?
