Method CTB with a Slam fire shotgun

When I'm all alone and thinking of ctb, the method I am most attracted to is guns. I believe that homemade/improvised firearms are a viable method for many people, especially those restricted from buying normal ones. Researching the slam fire shotgun, it seems quite simple. A piece of 1" steel pipe and a piece of 3/4" steel pipe. A 1" steel cap with a nail drilled threw to act as the firing pin attached to the 1" pipe. A 12-gauge shell fits into the 3/4th"
I have already acquired the ammunition. I have two boxes of 438 grain rifled slugs. Planning on sourcing the necessary pipe ASAP. Has anyone ever made a slam fire before? I figure I will need to test fire it first before I use it to ctb.

I think a multi barrel one would be cool to make sure you get the brain stem also.
