this is a very USA centered post, so apologies for that. another apology if a thread like this has been posted recently.

i believe nearly all of us know what is happening in the united states currently. if you don't, I.C.E. agents are practically running rampant, murdering people with zero consequences. my question is: how viable would it be to be aggressive towards one so they shoot you?

Oh wow I was literally thinking "what if I post such an idea" last night, tho I reconsidered posting...

They could shoot, tho idk if some "ethical" ICE agent would instead shoot towards foot / belly / other less-than-lethal areas so that they can take the person alive.

This, and also the media spotlight that might happen with people trying to politicize it. Not saying it will --seems likely-- but you never know with how tumultuous things are right now, but I'm not sure if that's something that worries you.

Let's say they don't kill you. You would be facing a prison sentence for assaulting a federal officer. Prison is not a place you want to be. It could be worse than what you're going through now.

Same as CTB by cop but you'll have dickheads online making memes with your face edited on them, like Renee Good and Alex Pretti

This is just me personally but I would hate to be immortalized through the news or internet after death. Especially in this political climate . I feel like everyone who dies deserves an anonymous and private death. Just my option tho

Sounds easy when you think about it but this is not reliable at all. You cannot predict what the agent will do, unfortunately. You might even end up in prison! Hooray! More suffering, but with absolutely no way out!

If you were to succeed? You would be used as a political toy. Not a good legacy if you ask me.

i don't care much about legacy (as i'll be dead and people disrespecting the dead says far more about them then it does the deceased), but the unreliability is definitely no-go imo. relying on someone else for one's death seems far too unpredictable.

This is at least the third such post in the last week or so... I'm going to sound like a broken record, but...

As horrible as the ICE agents have been... most of them are not killing anyone. So, your odds of being killed aren't great. Maybe slightly higher than your average police encounter, but maybe not. Alex Pretti, for example... was killed by ICE agents while he was assisting someone else who had been pushed to the ground. The same Alex Pretti about a week or so earlier (11 days I think) had been chasing an ICE vehicle and kicked out the taillights and agents stopped and beat on him for a bit, but left him alive. So, the more agitating version of that same guy in one instance didn't get him killed while being more civil in the other got him killed.

I understand you might not think the usual "suicide by cop" scenario of wanting to put guilt on the cop who kills you because ICE agents seem less sympathetic. Fine. I'll accept that logic for now... but everything else still applies... you might not get killed, you might suffer something far worse and for a long time. Hell, with ICE they might beat the shit out of you and then throw you out of the country to some foreign country jail where nobody will ever see you again and you'll wish you died but be prevented from it.

It's also never right to trick/manipulate someone else into killing you. I'll argue for our right to kill ourselves... but never to manipulate someone else into doing it for us.
