i feel that this is a stupid question but how does hanging work..

what equipment is necessary? what is the rope attached to? how long does it take to pass out?

im also curious abt the pain n success rate

Hello I'm thinking of hanging to and have tried partial hanging and failed. Hanging Is usually done with rope or tied and full hanging is when your hanging fully feet off the ground partial is when the rope is only holding half your weight and can be used from doors etc. It can be quite painful if you don't do it right ( aka what I did I'm an idiot LOL) but if you do it right you can pass out pretty quickly and have a quite peaceful death. From suicide method stats hanging is 3 most deadly suicide method. If you survive though ( like you brain and heart stop for abit before being saved) you could be met with brain damage or a vegetable state. How exactly did you failed?
it's my preferred choice after N but I keep reading failed attempts. I tried choking with my hand just to try and felt pressure in my head and felt I was going to pass out, but another member said I shouldn't feel that way?

fs my main concern if i fail is suffering injuries/complications for the rest of my life. my pain tolerance is so low its embarrassing n im stupid so i would fs mess it up too. im too scared for most of the other deadly methods thank u so much for your help, im horrible w words but pls know i truly appreciate you more than i can explain. i wish u all the best and i hope u find peace soon

Of course, your not stupid at all just be careful if you go through with it I really don't want you having to live with anything like brain damage. Also there is peaceful methods with high success rates like SN but it's like super hard to get so I understand why you would consider anything. If you need a friend I'm here have a wonderful night/day !

I failed due to not choking long enough to stop breathing, I have a heavy feeling in the top of my head but I never passed out. You should feel as if your gonna pass out if you do it right you should almost always pass out

You should to be able to use the searchbar to find threads in detail about which ever method you like
