Piggybacking on the other thread about water overdose, I was wondering what crazy ways people have heard of people killing themselves? Over the years, I've read a couple stories that have stuck out.

I remember years ago reading about one guy who tied a long rope to a telephone pole (or a tree?) and the other end around his neck. Then he got in his van and drove fast... Decapitated himself when he reached the end of the rope.

I remember another story of a guy in an Asian country, in front of a McDonalds, where there was a small wrought iron fence around an outdoor seating area on the sidewalk out front... He stuck his head between the bars and then twisted his body around, breaking his own neck. This was right in front of a lot of people at the McDonald's.

Those 2 stories really stuck out to me and I remember them after all these years for their creativity. So I was wondering if anyone has some other creative methods to share?

2. The Sky King. A 29 year old man. He flew a commercial-sized airplane despite having no piloting experience and did an excellent job at flying. He flew for 75 minutes and then committed suicide by crashing into an island where he would hurt no one else. While speaking to air traffic control, he described himself as "a broken man, got a few screws loose, I guess."

The chugging bleach method will always be one of the most insane methods ppl choose. I can't imagine the pain, irritation, and nausea that one would have to go through in order to die. ffs i'd rather hang myself.

my dad works in a fabric and a worker got inside a concrete mixer that he knew was going to be turned on soon :(

I had an ancestor who died by falling into an industrial bread mixer at a bakery. He was only 16, it was his first job. Not suicide, just an accident.

I've seen photos of a guy who ctb by putting his head in a hydraulic press, absolutely horrifying, just think about your head being slowly crushed by that thing... fucking hell.

I don't know if it was a ctb, but people have been killed by cows in my country. Just people casually walking dogs. Most people would never think cows to be deadly.
I also heard about a man who died after eating half a bag of black liquorice every day for a few weeks which caused his heart to stop due to low potassium levels.

Not very well versed In where I would begin and end. Ultimately I would have been sick, Matthew and puke.

I really like liquorice, I just can't see this being taken seriously as a ctb method. I wonder if the brand made a difference.
