Same, probably. How do you feel when you try to start a conversation?
For many years it felt rly scary to be the one to start conversations for me. Idk why but it was always incredibly stressful.
Nowadays it feels a lot easier. One thing I do sometimes is I pretend I'm someone other than myself. Like, I imagine in my head this very confident and cool-looking person and just pretend to be that person for the 30 seconds it takes to be the first one to say something.
Also, depending on who you're trying to talk to (if it's some random person at a shop or something) you can also keep in mind that even if the conversations goes horribly wrong and you end up looking like an idiot (speaking from experience here....) you'll never actually have to see that person ever again in your entire life. For me at least, that tends to get the pressure off.
