Hi there, this is my first post. About a year and a half ago I started drinking alcohol heavily all day everyday for months. I was vomiting all day everyday at the same time also.

I gave up drinking for 8 months thinking the vomiting and constant nausea would stop but, A year and a half on, and I'm still feeling sick and being sick everyday.

The vomiting and alcohol has also caused my face to become permanently flushed, red, with facial broken capillaries. So I've ruined my health and appearance within a few months.

Can anyone please relate to this? It's caused me to think about cbt, and I'm not sure how I can carry on.

I cannot really live my life like this, if i can't get help i'm going to probably CBT

Have you been to the doctor? Reducing the acid in your intestines could help after they are damaged, there is simple medication for it.

I have been for, blood test's, ultra sound, ct scan, endoscopy and tried all different kinds of pills from the dr. SO far nothing has seemed to work for me. I can't take this forever.

I'm currently on a new PPI and i'm praying it can help me

I have many health problems, and severe anxiety (which has always caused GI issues for since childhood, even before the other physical illnesses/dysfunctions began...) and have had chronic nausea going back decades, so I completely understand how miserable you must feel. :( I'm so sorry you're going through what you are. I know how the nausea affects EVERY part of daily life.

Have any of your doctors ever given you any kind of anti-nausea medication to see if that helps? Years ago they gave me something in suppository form (I'm sorry I can't recall what the medication was) but it never helped much. Then about 7 years ago they gave me Zofran. I take that 2 or 3 times a day now. Sometimes it REALLY helps stop the nausea, other times it doesn't help so much. I started out with 4 mg pills, now they are 8 mg. LIke I said, they aren't the answer - as in, they don't suddenly completely stop the nausea in its tracks and to this day I don't really know WHY I suffer from this chronic nausea issue - but most of the time Zofran does help enough so I at least don't feel like I'm going to vomit, and they help me so I can eat (I'm severely underweight at 88/89 lbs at 5'8").

I hope the new PPI they gave you will help. You deserve relief. Sending you wishes for healing and good health. <3
