If I survive intoxication due to SN, what consequences would it have?

If you're rescued you'll be fine. Not sure what could happen if you survive. I'm wondering myself, because I'm going to attempt soon and I'm really worried what sort of permanent damage I could do if I survive (without being rescued/saved).

He was taken to hospital and was rescued. I think OP (and I) are asking what would happen if we survive and are not found.

I know nothing about medical science so I have no idea. But there's probably a chance of survival, albeit a slim one. Just wanna be as well informed as possible before I attempt to CTB.

I read somewhere the lethal dose in humans is between 73 and 200mg per kilo.
So for a 50kg person 10g should be more that lethal. 15g for a 75kg person should be more than enough. This is at the high end of the scale working on those numbers. Ill see if i can find citation.

if you are dead within 1 hour, and they arrive soon after and send you to hospital, can they still reverse with methylen blue ?

I wish someone would video tape themselves going by SN for educational purposes like Dignitas has for people who drank Nembutal. I think a visual aid would provide a lot of insight to how painful it really is and how long it takes to lose consciousness.

Yes, but borderline ethical ...

When you're dead they can't. But if you're not, chances are MB can be used to 'rescue' you.

If you check the case study (if link works for you).
Biochemical analysis after death showed that the level of methemoglobin was 83.4%

But then ive seen the another where a guy survived with 92% but ambulance was called early.

Anything over 70% is said to be deadly. So if the 92% guy could be 'rescued' and make a full recovery then its really just a matter of if they find you in time.

I'm a short female, 44kg at most, planning on using 20 grams. Maybe do a taste test of 1 gram beforehand. Would that be
going overboard? I'm trying to make it as effective and quick as possible as I'm seeing alot of posts saying that isn't:(

I wouldnt risk it, there is cases of people dying from ingesting smaller amounts but there could be many factors at play.
Id be worried about taking enough to get the side effects while not being enough to ctb. If your gonna do it, might as well do it right. If you throw up or feel like its not right for you for whatever reason you have a small window of time to call emergency serivces and make a full recovery.

"Id be worried about taking enough to get the side effects while not being enough to ctb." Yeah, my main concern is not taking enough to ctb, but then there's the higher chance of vomiting:/ So you think 15 grams would be a safer bet in my case?

Read the study, apparently the man vomited after digesting SN, but still caused the death. (s. Sodium nitrite was detected in the plastic bag containing white powder, vomited stomach contents, and glass of white turbid solution)
