So, here in the article, it talks about how people are afraid to freely talk about suicide because they may risk loss of freedom, but this expert on psychiatry want to reassure us

"they fear speaking about suicide to a counselor or psychiatrist can get them involuntarily committed. (According to Yeates Conwell, professor of psychiatry at University of Rochester Medical Center and co-director of the Center for the Study and Prevention of Suicide, mental health professionals only put people on suicide watch if it seems that the suicidal person plans on ending their life immediately"

Oh right ! The fear was completely unfounded then.

Wait, this is not everything, here is the most hilarious part

"Suicidal people can have discussions about suicide on pro-life peer-to-peer forums and hotlines without fear of judgment or intervention.)"

You can freely talk about suicide, as long as you don't plan to do it and it's on pro-life forums ! Sounds like 1984 talk to me.

Imagine if someone were to tell you "You can freely talk about hommosexuality on gay-therapy-conversion forums without fear of judgment or intervention"

The people on pro life forums have their own opinions, method discussion is not allowed and it all boils down to life is good and worth living.
Which is true for many suicidal people, but sometimes suicide can be a good option.

I hate pro-life forums. I want to kill myself and not be talked out of it by someone who doesn't even know me and my pathetic life and thinks their platitudes will make me feel better.
