I was thinking maybe combining my meds which make me extremely drowsy add alcohol (haven't drank in 8 years so that would hit me hard) and take a nice bubble bath and just let my body sink below the surface.

have been thinking about that too, if you lose consciousness you shouldn't be able to stay over the water and drown. plus you can't feel any pain which some have been writing about:)

Haven't drink whole my life and now started for the first time. Believe it or not, but even after couple bottles of 96% vodka I feel like I drank just a beer. But the idea is not bad at all, the most important to be unconsciousness to kill all feelings.

Getting the meds is the problem. Benzos or barbs would do it. Lots

Don't you hate when you lose a lock box key. Mine 25 is locked away. Mine 9 isn't

I'm thinking it would be pleasant. Play some music. And just drift off

Wow that's crazy that drinking that much vodka only makes you feel like you had a beer. I use to be able to drink anyone under the table.

I hate to be a negative Nellie, but the instinct to survive drowning is very strong. Unless you're talking Whitney Houston level drugs, it's going to be tough.

Benzos and alcohol induce almost a "temporary coma". I'm using that as example, there's no clinical coma, but extremely unconscious. No instincts. With high amounts someone could punch you outright and you'd continue to sleep ;)

My only worry was I won't drown , but wake up 24h later freezing cold .. (I'm a bit tall)

I was just toying with this idea. I rather not use my 9. My tub is slippery so I'm thinking if I'm out of it enough and pass out I'll go under. I hope. Only one way to test.

I'm thinking everything in the house. I might be able to grab ketamine which knocks me out.and so not a negative Nellie. I appreciate the info.

I feel like your body would shoot awake with adrenaline if you try to drown yourself like that. No matter how drowsy you are if your lungs start to fill with water you're body is going to enter panic mode I'm pretty sure so that might not be the best idea.

Do you think enough of both substances could kill you without anything else to interact with them? What if you added more sedatives?

No

Long time ago when psychiatrist asked how I'd ctb, I replied vodka & benzo. She actually laughed in my face :)
I asked why and she said "It just doesn't. You can try if you want". Still puzzled by that reaction...
EDIT: She was right.

You'd probably die from hypothermia while still being passed out from the sedatives.

Topamax and Valium. I have 2 full bottles of each.

This I can personally speak to, as I used large amounts of Topamax, Wellbutrin, lorazepam, and alcohol in an attempt to ctb 5 years ago. In total it was hundreds of pills (plenty of each) and at least half of a large vodka bottle. I had surgery for reflux almost 20 years ago, so keep in mind that I didn't throw up, because I physically cannot (I do get nauseous and my body will - sometimes violently - TRY, but nothing that goes in is coming back up, period. I started with the vodka, once I was feeling drunk I started downing the pills by the handful. My thought process was similar to yours: those meds made drowsy, so in huge quantities along with alcohol, surely I wouldn't make it. I also lived alone at the time, so I knew I had hours alone (if not a day or two) before someone might find me.

So I managed to choke down the pills. For good measure, I tied a bathrobe belt around my neck, and passed out quite quickly where I laid on the couch. I sent a vague messays he to a friend of mine right before; not vague enough to sound an immediate alarm but enough that eventually he was concerned that I wasn't replying to anything. At midnight, 12 hours after I passed out, the cops kicked in my door and found me.

I was "awake," but have no recollection of it. I would look in someone's direction if they spoke to me but I could not speak. I had removed or loosened the belt at some point when I was unaware. I had at least one seizure after arriving in the ER (and likely had seized throughout that 12 hours). Eventually I started responding verbally, but not with much sense and I was still "blacked out" mentally. I apparently asked for a turkey sandwich repeatedly (I don't even particularly like turkey sandwiches). It took two days for me to gain awareness and I had no memory from the time I tied the belt and that moment. I was in pain (from seizing? Being tense in a recliner position for so long?), my abs were extremely sore and tender when I "woke up" as well.

Very shortly after regaining my faculties, I was discharged from the ICU for an extended stay in the county mental health center. Nothing more dignified than being wheeled out of the hospital in handcuffs.

I hadn't started out intending to tell this whole detailed story, so I can delete it if it's too off track. I just wanted to share with you my experience attempting with this exact medication combo. I hope it helps you to reconsider that route. I don't think there's even a remote chance it will work.

I tried meds and alcohol in the woods...
Obvs didn't work...

July last year I took 30 200mg quetiapine, 30 100mg sertraline and paracetamol with a bottle of wine. (Didnt have chance to take the other 60 pills i had. I passed out to quick.
Someone found me
I'd passed out on the floor, pissed myself and vomited everywhere. I was unconscious and then in a coma for days.

I was sure it would work this time I hate that I didn't because now I have some damage to my brain, my liver and my kidneys.
