The war in Ukraine has been of great interest to me since it began a few years ago. Never before has there been a war so well documented in every aspect of it. Particularly the suicides. Below I have posted an ever-expanding list of combat suicides within the Russian army. These are men that have decided to willingly invade and kill citizens of a sovereign country, so while I harbor zero sympathies for them, it is very interesting seeing the desperation of it all.

Pointless slaughter, Ukraine is sovereign country.
Russia and the USA have fabricated this Insane proxy war for thier own benefits.
Neither being right or just in their cause.
Money and resource grab at its core, Ukraine and Taiwan are setting the stage for world war.
No clear winner will come out of this, only millions dead and wounded suffering endlessly, an apocalyptic world will be our fate as human beings,
Over money.....
The fallacy of the monetary unit is an insane concept.
Just my personal view.

I think the word "willingly" doesn't apply to a shocking number of Russian soldiers. I remember reading about some soldiers a year or two ago who refused to fight and were locked in a literal pit for insubordination. I just googled to see how many soldiers have been prosecuted so far for refusing to fight, and the official number is around 10 000.

**not pro-Russia at all, just very anti-war. No one wins in war except the elite who don't have to fight. There are definitely pro-Russia soldiers who want to willingly kill Ukrainian civilians, and that is unbelievably fucked up, but I wouldn't be surprised if many of the people killing themselves on the battlefield never wanted to fight in the first place :( War is hell.

"Pro-war" is a more correct term in this context, since "pro-Russia" implies supporting something performed in interests of the country as a whole, while this war can't even nearly be classified as beneficial for the whole country, considering all the negative impacts it has on economy, demography, relationships between people, etc.

Making "pro-war" and "pro-Russia" sounding like synonyms is a notorious part of the pro-war propaganda which commonly presents expressing any anti-war position by Russian citizens as an "anti-Russian" activity (according to pro-war propagandists, if you're a citizen who tells about not liking Putin's war, you're an enemy of the country).

A lot of it comes from Telegram channels. This is likely the most documented war in terms of frontline footage. The drones have both depersonalized war yet made it more personal to the viewers at home. I couldn't watch anymore after the first few months when torture killings of POWs started circulating.

It would be interesting to hear from the Russian members here at SaSu, they even have a thread for the Russian community.

And the Ukrainians too, they must have members here I think.

I don't know if it's 100% reliable the news that reaches here (BR)... I'm curious to know from them what the real war is like for people who live there.

Most of these are just the slaves of the men you describe being harvested for loosh.
Though many on all sides of conflict lose their minds and participate in sadism because inflicting pain is one of the few powers remaining.
The ones who have decided war must take place exist on all sides and could care less, seeing it is business, and will seldom face anywhere near the extent of pain as the average dumb kid sent to combat.

It baffles me as to why anybody would want to procreate in a world like this. There's so much shit going on in this world and it's well documented as shown here and yet people still turn a blind eye to all of this and act like everything is okay!? It's honestly so baffling and absurd

It is a world where these conflicts and horrific living conditions affect massive numbers,.
But to everyone else not directly experiencing it, it's like either a movie or a story of events that will only happen to others but not them. Until it does happen to them, then it's a tragedy. The scales of suffering are so incomprehensible and overwhelming that people must live like this and focus only on their immediacy and the few positive events in their daily life like eating and entertainment, there are few if any actions that can improve the global conditions.
But not adding more souls to hell seems like the one simple basic act of courtesy we can do.

I am glad I don't have to watch the footage. I am in war with my mental health but physcial war is something quite different.

This is just what the fuck:
Wounded Russian soldier blows self up with grenade in attempt to kill Ukrainian medic offering aid. 3rd Assault Brigade, June 2023.
Bro why would you do that? This is such an asshole move.

Tbh how can document all of these cases without developing PTSD? Solely reading 80 different description made my uncomfortable but watching all of that on a daily basis without getting traumatized? How?

I think people are just desensitized to different extents. For the past 2 years I have woken up and watched footage of the invaders being blown up. After you have seen 100+ vids they begin to blend.

Many people join the military to escape poverty, get a good education, and get a chance to see the world. That or they are drafted. They don't have control over where they are sent, and I feel like it is in poor taste to say these things while we are off on the side. You know far from every Russian soldier is a war criminal.

I have been to the scenes of Russian war crimes in Bucha. Know people that have died in their incessant bombings, and have been present for a couple of Russian air raids in the city of Kyiv myself. I have zero sympathy for anyone who sees going to fight in an invasion of another country as a viable means to escape poverty. Additionally, Russian conscripts are not legally allowed to sent to go fight outside of Russia. The men fighting in Ukraine are volunteers and mercenaries.

Your info is wrong.

Conscription in Russia is a 12-month draft, which is mandatory for all male citizens who are between 18 and 30 years old, with a number of exceptions. Avoiding the draft is a felony under Russian criminal code and is punishable by up to 26 months of imprisonment.

Although President Putin repeatedly promised that young conscripts would not be deployed in the war with Ukraine, conscripts from the FSB Border Service from several Russian regions were sent to fight with Ukrainian troops in Kursk Oblast.

Don't get me wrong, Russia is definitely the bad guy in this situation. You are probably true about a lot of the military willing to kill happily, but it's not that black-and-white, like most things are. Why are you so determined to hate people who were forced into war?

There most definitely is some conscripts in the war, but with current Russian volunteer rates at 1000 a day, the majority of their forces are filled with volunteer and mercenary forces.

To the thousands of Ukrainian citizens who have died at the hands of Russian aggression, the nuance of the situation is not of importance. Enter a sovereign country to kill another person's sons and daughters , you rightfully deserve to become fertilizer for the fields.

Additionally, what you have quoted does not really contradict what it says. It is referring to the young border conscripts who were initially fighting in Kursk. According to Russian law, conscripts would not be sent to fight in Ukraine, Kursk is in Russia, not in Ukraine.
