Codeine and pregabalin

I've read that mixing pregabalin and codeine can depress the central nervous system and can result in death. How likely is it this combination in high doses would indeed result in death. Overdoses I know can be pretty unreliable, but I failed with partial and carbon monoxide, need a soft exit as I'm not capable of a more violent endeavour
