We take turns writing moves using chess algebraic notation. For those who are unfamiliar with the notation, it looks like this:

1. d4 d5
2. Nf3 Bf5
3. c4 c6
4. Qb3 Qb6
Or, writing the moves one line at a time:

1. d4
1... d5
2. Nf3
2... Bf5

Each move is described in this format: Piece-Type + Square-Coordinates. For example, Nf3 = Knight to f3, and Bf5 = Bishop to f5. For pawn moves, no letter is used to denote the piece-type; only the destination square is given.

Below shows how the squares on the board are named:

The rules?
  • Moves played should be legal
  • If someone has played a move as White, then they aren't allowed to play a move as Black, and vice versa
I'll start: 1. e4
