I tried to do the chat earlier and immediately got smacked down. Like, I already am feeling useless and annoying and now I can't even enter a chatroom with out getting shit on for being annoying. I can't make friends in real life. I can't make friends online. I don't see why I try to make connections anymore.

Dont worry friend i find the chat rooms to be pretty fast moving and sometimes pretty harsh.

yeah people on the forum are considerably nicer but I still have an impossible time meeting people I can connect with. its all on me. I'm just pretty torn up about how deeply lonely I am

I got banned from the chat room a while ago when I entered some conversation (they were talking about sex) and I said something that was deemed not appropriate and I can't figure out how to get back, even though it was 2 years ago and I have zero history of misbehaving on the site :(

From what I remember, the chat room goes quite fast and the better place to get replies was on the forum.

I believe chatting anonymously on a website isn't truly "making friends". I mean, i've gotten quite ""affectionate"" to some people in here (I don't think they feel the same tbh), but not knowing anything about them, their name, their faces...sets me off.
But I truly enjoy this forum, there are plenty of nice people and you'll get to meet them even through posts!

I don't remember saying anything bad. I just got caught in a conversation where they were talking about sex a couple of years ago. Someone reported it because they didn't think talking about sex was allowed, and they banned a few people from it including me. The site had different mods back then. The mod who banned me has either left or ctb'd. I wish I could use the chat room but not sure how to get back in.
