i plan to duct tape up all the sealongs up windows air ventilators and was thinking 3 disposable barbecues in the back of a hatchback with the seats down , will sit them on bricks so not to burn - is three to many ? Plan to burn the charcoal outside the car and put in car when white ash - don't have a co meter and anyway ones that measure up to 10000ppm cost a couple of hundred.

Is it all failsafe can anything go wrong? Either plan to pop a zoplicome or a diazepam to relax me maybe have a drink

That sounds well planned.
How much charcoal is in each grill? Three sounds good.

With 3 grills, you probably won't need to seal anything. It should put out enough CO to do the trick.

Might as well grill up some sausages to keep your mind occupied and distracted.
It may ease the nerves.

So you were able to measure with a lower CO meter? What brand of charcoal are you using?

Not sure yet if time can take will buy a chimney starter and kingwood coals but time is feeling of the essence hence thinking of using disposable... Ive read these do work and it's been known for one to kill entire family

Chimney starter is recommended, makes things easier and makes sure briqs are evenly heated. Did you mean Kingsford charcoals?

Yeah, some manage to pull it off with small quantities. I dont get how others failed with 1-2 kgs worth of charcoal, this got me thinking. Was it the ventilation? Or the type of charcoal maybe... couldn't say yet
Do you have any links to any failures? The only failures I've seen have been accidental failures like a family sleeping in a caravan and one person died and others survived.

No specific links, just saw anecdotes around this thread. Their failures despite the large amounts of charcoal is unnerving, maybe they made a mistake somewhere here and there.
