Does carbonmonoxide poisoning cause a painful death or a peaceful one??

Don't take my words as granted but I'm pretty sure it's rather peaceful compared to other methods. It is described as simply feeling dizzy before blacking out.

It's very peaceful if done right.

I'm planning this route, and getting drunk so I pass out and never wake up.

The biggest mess up would be not planning it correctly in terms of people finding you. The problem with this method is, it takes rather long for your organism to be clinically dead. You can be rescued an hour after being blacked out. This would be very horrific because you would have permanent brain damage and be a cripple forever. Make sure that you won't be found for at least a day, yes it might be longer than it needs (idk about the actually time you can be rescued) but just to be safe. Also, it's dangerous for the people finding you as they could black out too rather quickly. So put a note that there are dangerous gases onto whatever room you choose.

If you live with parents and was planning on doing at home, don't. You could wind up killing them, or cause permanent damage to them.

I am using the tent method in the woods. Slim chance of being found if you go deep enough into the woods.

Last time I attempted this, I was caught because I didn't notice a house not far away, and they saw my camp fire and called police.

Another thing I hear a lot is people will leave the room when blacked out. Many people who have tried this method suggest being sedated with drugs or alcohol and making it difficult to leave the area such as locking or screwing doors
