Help Car exhaust pipe

Hello everybody, I am new and I am sorry if this is already being discussed, English is not my first language and maybe I don't understand everything. But I looked into the compilation and didn't find this method.
In my country (Italy) there was a successful attempt that I read on the journal made in this way:
"with a plastic duct she connected the passenger compartment to the exhaust pipe, passing it through the window."
Some peolple discovered the car and turn off the engine, but the girl was dead.
Is this a simple method that I might consider? Why nobody talks about it? I read about car goal but it seems complicated because you have to burn it before entering the car.
Would this be a safe and painless method if I take some benzo before?
Please help. I want to ctb but I don't want to be in pain or to stop because survival instinct. Thank you

Welcome to the forum! Modern cars often don't produce enough CO, however it is possible but it may take time and can fail. It's better to consider the charcoal method bc there is a high risk of brain damage if CO fails.

Back in the "old" days, this is how people used to ctb. Cars did not used to have catalytic converters, which capture the pollutants, including CO. Today, cars have catalytic converters, which makes it more likely than not that you will be UNsuccessful using this method. Perhaps the person you read about used an old car made in the early 1970s, or older, or maybe they just got lucky. IDK. Today, IMO, charcoal is the best way to use the CO method, but it still will take a fair amount of research and studying to understand the dos and don'ts to get it right.

Thank you very much, I thought that new cars maybe changed because I remember I saw an old movie in witch a person ctb simply putting a t-shirt into the pipe but in sasu nobody seems to consider it.
But I found many recent newspaper arricles in Italy about this kind of suicide. Maybe because in Italy we still have old cars?
Do you think that a Toyota of 2006 is still too new to do this thing? I think it would be a very painless and simple way to ctb.

So I need an older car to do this. I read that catalytic converter is mandatory in Italy since 1993. I think that people who ctb with this method had very old cars (it is not unusual in my country and the articles didn't specify the car model). So I should try with carchoal.

Don't forget you can still buy old motorbikes from the 70's for much less than a car.

The easy way to circumvent this is buying a carbureted big block v8 engine. The unfortunate/fortunate side effect is you might want to live after driving such a car.

It's frustrating that in older times it was so "simple" to cbt
I was thinking about renting a vintage car.
The only issue is that I would use a car that is not mine and maybe my family should pay the rent company to refound the car?
I don't want to create problems to anyone. I know that my parents wouldn't care too much about my death, but they surely would care about spending money because of my cbt.
Maybe using carchoal is better, I hoped that there was a simple "vintage method" that would work.
